Everyone's eyes focused on Mark and Mark only when he suddenly stood up with a glass of soju in his hand. Nabi and Johnny knew that he was about to tell the other two the truth about him being a singer and rapper who recently got a record deal and who is Nabi's favorite artist and they tried to hide their smirks. Jeno and Bona looked at each other confused when it seemed like Nabi and Johnny weren't amused by Mark's sudden toast.
"I just wanted to treat you guys to some good food and drinks because I have something to tell you. Nabi and Johnny already know and I don't want you guys to find out online or from TV." Jeno and Bona looked at the girl who tried her hardest to keep a straight face and then back at Mark. "Don't worry, it's nothing scary." he added upon seeing their terrified faces. "I've been a soundcloud singer and rapper for quite some time now but I recently got a record deal with SM Entertainment."
Jeno and Bona looked at Nabi with furrowed brows, kind of connecting the dots themselves.
"I'm debuting in few days and my name's Mark Lee."
"What?!" Bona stood up abruptly and held her head in hands, in outmost shock. "You knew and didn't say a thing?!" she shook Nabi by the arms.
"What the fuck?!" Jeno finally exclaimed, eyes widened to the max.
"It wasn't my place to tell!" Nabi said excitedly while smiling from ear to ear.
"I can't believe she didn't tell me! I can't believe you're Mark Lee! How did this happen?!" Bona asked question after question and once she got an answer to all of them, she was able to calm down a little. Jeno laughed in disbelief and glanced at Nabi when a sudden thought came to his mind. Ever since his sister met Mark she seemed happier, even after breaking up with Xiaojun. He knew that Mark had to mean something special to her even back when he didn't know who he really was, but after hearing he was the Mark Lee his twin sister had loved, adored, supported and fangirled over for so long and he was the same Mark sitting in front of him now, it kind of clicked. Nabi had found her Mark Lee in no other guy than Mark Lee himself.
After taking few more shots of soju and finishing up their meals, Bona had convinced them all to go to karaoke. None of them had work or other schedules the next day so they agreed without a doubt. Mark also thought to himself that there wouldn't be as many opportunities for spontaneous nights out drinking with his friends once he starts his career as a singer, so he wanted to grab every single chance he still had to do that before everything changed.
He laughed his butt off at Johnny attempting to sing IU's "Love Poem" and failing miserably as Jeno and the two girls slid of the couch while laughing uncontrollably. Mark glanced at Nabi and just couldn't take his eyes off her when she laughed as hard as she could, happiness bursting out of her like she had no worries at all. That was the side of Nabi that he loved to see the most - happy, smiling and care free.
After several minutes filled with laughter, even after Johnny had finished his piece, Jeno and Bona still wiped the tears off their cheeks. With the courage gained from alcohol, Nabi grabbed the mic and walked over towards the so-called stage. A soft sound of Minseo's "No good girl" began to play as she sang the first words:
