When Harry entered the canteen, he was welcomed by the loud chattering of all the students that set there. In the crowd he couldn't recognize his roommate Zayn, so he accepted the fact that he would be eating alone again. Zayn seemed like a nice guy when they were together in their room, but as soon as he was with his friends his behaviour was changing drastically. Harry didn't really care about the fact that he behaved cocky and unruly, what hurt him was that he just ignored him. When they met in the corridor that morning Harry had smiled and stopped to talk with him, but all he did was wave hurryingly and go away with his friend, a short guy with brown hair and blue eyes that Harry didn't know. He knew that he went by the nickname of Tommo, or, at least, that's what Zayn called him when he was talking about him.

Shaking his head Harry got out of his thoughts about Zayn and about how lonely he felt and set down at the first empty table he could find. He started eating slowly, not really hungry and especially not hungry for the food that the canteen served. Today it was broccoli and mushed potatoes without any salt or spices or whatsoever. Harry wasn't picky at all, but he loved cooking so much that seeing food disrespected like this made him so sad. He used to cook every meal for his family and the satisfaction that came with their pleased faces filled Harry with pride. But in this place, he didn't have any place to cook at and he could only think about how to turn those mashed potatoes in something delicious.

As he kept eating, he saw Zayn and his friend walk in front of him and waved at them, but they didn't even look in his direction, so Harry lowered his hand awkwardly, hoping no one noticed what just happened. But when he got up to go away, he first walked toward their table. He had a plastered smile on his face and his curls were completely messed up.

-Hi Zayn! - he said loudly and probably too excitedly, his cheeks turning red when he noticed that people turned to look at him. Zayn looked at him and attempted a small smile, while 'Tommo' kept his full attention on his phone. There were other three guys with them that Harry had never seen and now they were all staring at him. He regretted his choice immediately and was almost going to run away, when Zayn broke the tension.

-Hi. You've already eaten? -

-Yeah.. Looked for you around but couldn't find ya..- Harry replied, now almost in a whisper since he was so close and had so much attention on him. And then he heard the short guy set in front of Zayn talk.

-Shame- he said, looking directly in Harry's eyes, green meeting blue. Harry couldn't really understand he if he was being ironic or not (but he supposed that he probably was). So he went back to Zayn, waiting desperately for him to talk and hoping he would just dismiss him. He kept felling the boy's stare on him.

-Don't listen to Louis, he is just fucking around- 'oh so he was ironic', Harry thought to himself. And then 'oh so his name is Louis, that sounds so nice, and it really fits him and..-'

-See you in the dorm Harry? - Zayn said, breaking the silence Harry didn't notice had formed around him.

-'sure. Bye Zayn- he said, but for a fraction of second his eyes flew to Louis, who was still staring at him, now pissed that he wouldn't go away. So, Harry turned and started walking, just to hear him go 'bye Harry' in a high-pitched voice, mocking him. What an idiot.
