Description as best as I remember-
The story was about a woman who was a medical professional trained under a very smart surgeon .
The start of the story was her and her husband were at the charity party when grace was shot . She was able to save grace from death .but it cost her husband's life later when Mrs. Changretta shows up in her home and shoots her husband . Anyway grace feels terrible and asks tom to help her. Tom ends up hiring her to care for grace. She stays with them and becomes close with grace. Who ultimately passes from I think some infection from the surgery.
