Amira

It had been about two weeks since I last spoken to my mom. Truth be told I doubt the two of us would ever talk again. It sucked since eventually Tristain had to go back home because of school and stuff, August had been out of town, so I was left to my lonesome. Sighing I went downstairs and got a bowl of cereal thinking of what to do today. Seeing where as it was my birthday there was nothing to do with nobody to hang with me. Sitting on the couch, I flipped through channels while checking my phone looking at the many "Happy Birthday" texts I received.

Not feeling like staying inside all day, I decided to get dress and go out and do something meaningful with my day. Although it was cloudy, it was hot as hell out here. Its a good thing I didn't do anything fancy with my hair cause it wouldn't have lasted with this humidity. Unlocking the doors to my jeep I got in and went down to the mall do some retail therapy. At this point in life I guess I'm some what proud to say where I'm at. Completed college with 3.9, have my own place, a nice little job and not having anyone take care of me. That's more then most women can say they've done. Now and days these girls think its cute not to go to school, further their education. They all got these goals of marrying a basketball player or someone with money so they can be straight. I don't get it. When they go broke and file for bankruptcy, they're gonna wish they had a fall back plan. I'm not saying I ain't wanna marry a basketball player or rapper when I was younger, but I let reality sink in. That's why Amira Jensen has her own cosmetics that's she's selling and making hella money off of.

After when seemed like three hours, I needed to call it quits. My feet were killing me and I know I went way over my spending limit. While on my way out I felt my phone buzz in my back pocket.

-You wanna go have a little birthday lunch?? - Baby Boy 2:24pm

-Awe. Look at you being a good brother. Meet me at Olive Garden in five. -2:25pm

I smiled putting the phone back into my pocket and heading to my car.

Pulling into Olive Garden, I grabbed my shades walking inside looking for Tristan. Once spotting him, I walked over and sat in front of him. He looked different from the last time I seen him and I knew something was up with him.

"Hey why you look so sad?" I asked.

"Nothing just school and everything. I need a break from it to be honest with you." he answered looking at his phone."

School wasn't the only thing that was bothering him and I could tell. He just didn't wanna tell me and whether he liked it or not, he was gonna have to tell me anyways. The whole time we were eating, I could tell something was wrong and there was no way that I was gonna leave without him telling me.

Ok look what is up with you Tristan. I can tell there's something wrong so what is it?" before he could say anything, the two people I didn't wanna see the most showed up. "She made you tell her where we were going didn't she." he shook his head looking at his plate. "Tristan go to the car and wait for me okay."

He got up taking my keys and walking out. My mom was the first one to sit down and then Garold. He kept eyeing me giving me this smirk.

"Why is he here?" I asked.

"Hey, watch your mouth understand." he said pointing a finger at me. "Just because you not my daughter doesn't mean anything to me. I'll be your dad soon so I need respect."

"First of all your ass will never be my dad. Second respect is a two way street. You might be able to talk to my mother like that, but not me. You're a fuck nigga who will always be a fuck nigga. Another thing if you ever and I mean ever try to get any of my dad's belongings or assets I'll have you arrested. He left everything to my brother and I. So try me if you want to." I said to them then walking out the restaurant then to the car. Getting in I started it up and pulling off.
