Chapter 1 - A big Change.

As Star ran through the yard with Caleb, laughing. Her friends, Kiley chased after them. "Tag! Your it!" Kiley mewed to Caleb. "Grrr! I'm a wild forest cat! And I will eat you up!" Caleb laughed, he was the biggest out of all of us, me and Kiley were about the same size. "Ahhhh!" We both screamed, running away laughing. "Woah! What's all the racket over here?" A dark brown tabby Tom with a white heart came into view of the door step of the Housefolk's home. "Dad!" I said, running towards him.

"Calebs a forest cat and he's gonna eat us! Quick Kiley! Get on my dads back! I'll help you up!" I yelled, and helped Kiley up. "Whose up for a ride?" Bramble laughed. "Me!" We all yelled. Caleb got on his back, and we had a fun ride through the yard. As soon as we stopped, a strange figure jumped into the yard. Caleb growled at the stranger, he always protected Kiley as his sister and me as his friend.

Kiley and Caleb and brother and sister. Star does not have any siblings as kittypets with her, in ShadowClan she has one.

"Hello Bramble. And hello my lovely daughter." The gray she-cat said, looking at me. "Dad, since when did I have other kin?" I mewed, looking confused. "You've always had other kin, meet you mother Shootinglight." Said Bramble "Caleb, Kiley, hurry up and go back home.. I don't think you'll be seeing Star again for a.. long time. Say your goodbyes." Shootinglight said. I was starstruck and Caleb and Kiley said "WHAT? WHAT!!" They shouted. "Bye.. Caleb and Kiley.." Star said, confused. "Bye..." They said, and left for home, they're ears and tails were droopy.

"Now, Star, me and Bramble have decided that it is time for you to learn you culture. Bramble, how old is she?" Asked Shootinglight. "5 moons, supposed to turn 6 moon's tomorrow." Bramble said, "Good, good. So. Now your going to leave this.. awful place with me and your father and go to a place called ShadowClan- ShadowClan is." She explained what the clans were and what she was going to do. She was excited, and they made they're way to ShadowClan. They got to the entrance of the camp and one said. "Shootinglight! Who are they- ugh! They smell strongly of Kittypets! And they have collars!" One hissed. "Yes! Why are they here!" The other growled. "Ruinwing, Leopardtail, meet my daughter, Star. And my mate, Bramble." Shootinglight mewed.

It was strange to how ShadowClan lived in these conditions, but I went on with it. "Fine.." Said Ruinwing. "Thank you."  Shootinglight mewed graciously, and dipped her head, Bramble did the same. They started walking, she cantered along with them. When they walked through the camp, the ShadowClan cats gave Bramble and I untrusting, weird looks. I ignored it. We made it to a den. "Foreststar?" Shootinglight called a strange name. A large brown Tabby Tom appeared, his blistering green eyes seemed to glow in the dark. I looked up at the large Tom with awe. This must be the leader! "Shootinglight? What is the meaning of this? Why have you brought kittypets into the camp?" Foreststar growled. "Foreststar, meet my mate Bramble, and kit Star." Shootinglight mewed. Foreststar glanced at them awkwardly. "But don't you already have a kit?" He asked. I gasped in awe, I HAVE A BROTHER? I screamed to myself in my mind.

"Erm.. yes, but this is my other kit, Star." Shootinglight mewed awkwardly. "But their.. kittypets, do they want to, join the clan?" Asked Foreststar. "YES!" I shouted loud-quietly. The cats near me stared to look at me, and then looked away. "What Star said." Bramble mewed. She quickly sprinted to Foreststar. "Please??" I asked, my kitten eyes twinkling. "Alright, fine. Let's make you both warrior and apprentice." Said Foreststar

"All cats old enough to hide in the shadows gather around the high rock for a clan meeting!" Foreststar yowled. I was amazed how everyone just, appeared! "From the stars above, I wish to announce a new apprentice joining ShadowClan. Star, step up." Foreststar mewed. Murmurs arose as I stepped up.

"Star, do you wish to learn the ways of the warrior code, train and protect this clan with your life?" Said Foreststar, gazing down into her forest eyes. "I do." Star mewed. "Then, StarClan look down on this kit, she will learn the warrior ways. Until you receive your warrior name, you will be shown as Nightpaw. Leopardtail, your mentor, Shadowspirt trained you to your limit, it is time for you to take on a apprentice. Nightpaw, your mentor will Leopardtail." Foreststar said proudly. "Nightpaw! Nightpaw! Nightpaw!" The cats cheered. She stepped down, and her mentor touched noses with her, but, then, ripped off her collar. "You won't need that anymore. It'll just scare off the prey." Leopardtail mewed, gazing down upon Nightpaw.

"Now, I have one more ceremony for today, Bramble, step up." Foreststar said. "Do you promise to protect this clan with your life and learn the warrior code?" Foreststar asked Bramble. "I do." He said, gazing up at the leader "StarClan, look down on this kittypet, whom will learn the warrior code. By the power of StarClan, I announce you as Brambleheart." Foreststar said. Dawnlight jumped off the lower rock, and ripped the collar off of Brambleheart, then stepping back. "Brambleheart! Brambleheart! Brambleheart!" They cheered. She looked around, swirling with excitement. She was a clan cat!
