The Chosen One

Chapter 1: The Closest Companions

Narrator: "In ancient times, there existed remarkable beings whose powers and abilities exceeded all human expectations and limitations. These exceptional individuals were dubbed Superhumans and engaged in battles with one another to demonstrate their prowess as warriors. Yet among them, there was a solitary figure who surpassed them all - an extraordinary being known as The Chosen One."

Narrator: "The tale starts with a 15-year-old high-school student by the name of Ryuuji Hitoshi, who is affectionately called Ryuu by his peers. Ryuuji is a regular teenage Otaku with a fondness for anime and manga."

Ryuu: (Yawns) "I'm so incredibly bored right now... If only I had brought my Gameboy or something to pass the time...".

A student walks up behind Ryuu.
???: "So, does that mean you're not up for sparring later after school?"

Ryuu turns around and recognizes the student.

(Blake Tanaka; Ryuu's Best Friend, Classmate, and a fellow student at Okano High.)

Ryuu: "Oh. What's up, Blaze?"

Blaze: "Nothing Much. I'm just bored. Are we still on for sparring after school?".

Ryuu: (deadpan voice) "Sure, why not? It's not like I have a life or anything."

Blaze: (overexcitedly, throws his hands up in the air.) "All right!"

Ryuu: "You really like to fight, don't you?"

Blaze: "Of course! What's not to like about fighting?"

Ryuu: "You're a complete moron."

Blaze: "I am not a moron! I just happen to enjoy fighting."

Ryuu: "Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say, you fighting nut job."

The school bell rings, Ryuu and Blaze make their way out of the school gates. The boys begin walking home on the sidewalk until Blaze abruptly hurls his bag onto the grass and takes off his shirt, revealing a sleeveless undershirt.

Blaze: (cracks his knuckles) "Alright then! We're far enough from school, and home isn't too far away. Let's try to wrap this up by 5:00, okay?"

Ryuu places his bag gently on the ground and follows Blaze's lead, taking off his shirt to reveal a sleeveless undershirt.
Ryuu: "Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say!"

The two friends gets into their self-proclaimed "Martial Arts" stances before charging towards each other and clashing arms.

Blaze initiates the fight by throwing a kick at Ryuu, who skillfully blocks it with his left arm and counters with a punch. Ryuu retaliates by throwing a punch at Blaze, but Blaze catches his fists and lands a devastating Knee-Kick to Ryuu's gut. However, Ryuu quickly recovers by grabbing Blaze's leg, spinning him around, and tossing him to the ground.

Blaze quickly gets up and charges at Ryuu, and the two friends engage in a series of punches and blows. They continue sparring for a grueling 20 minutes until they are both completely exhausted and collapse onto the ground.

After catching their breaths, Blaze stands up and rummages through his bag to get two water bottles. He hands one to Ryuu, who is still recovering and panting heavily from exhaustion.

Blaze: "So what's going on with you?"

Ryuu: "What do you mean?"

Blaze: "You know what I mean. How's it going with the family?"

Ryuu: "Same old, same old. My parents are always busy and never home."

Blaze: "Don't your parents work abroad?"
