(This is my first fanfic so please criticise my work and give advice on what I can do better!Additionally, the jokers name in the telltale game is John. :) now let's get on to the story!)
It was a cold night in Gotham and the moon shone brightly into the window of Bruce's bedroom. A sudden nudge to his right shoulder woke him up in an instant. Startled, Bruce frantically searched for his nightlight and quickly turned it on.
Next to him stood John - who was visibly shaken and violently breathing . John's shirt was drenched with sweat and hung from his shoulder. Bruce was alarmed by his buddies fearful state and was now wondering: why is John so scared?
"Hey... Bruce, can I sleep with you please? I've just had a nightmare and I don't feel safe. L-like you know how you feel when you have a nightmare." John said trying to strengthen his reasoning for asking Bruce such a bold question as John was honestly embarrassed to ask his friend that.
"Sure!" Bruce quickly answered, signaling to the space he just reserved for John by lifting up his blanket invitingly with a warm smile.
John climbed into Bruce's bed and snuggled with him. John's head now lay on Bruce's chest. John could hear Bruce's heart beating rhythmicly against his ear. Unsurprisingly, John liked the sensation of feeling Bruce's heart beat thudding besides his ear- it was all so soothing in the silence of the room. Bruce was so warm and kind to let John join him in his bed. This tranquil moment they shared sparked something within Bruce's beating heart; some light, some feeling that both possesed.
After a couple hours, Bruce's intrusive thoughts took the best of him as he thought his buddy was asleep and he kissed his forehead, dreading for if John was awake.
"I love you, John..." Bruce says.
Surprisingly, John smiles and giggles, "I love you too, Brucie."
Bruce's eyes shot open as he heared John's voice answer him. Bruce was extremely uneasy and embarrassed and started blushing.
After this whole situation, John's grip tightend around Bruce and they eventually fell asleep; cuddling even closer than before.
(Sorry this was so short 😢 I just didn't have enough ideas and my phone died whilst I was writing this and it only partially saved my writing. Also, I will make more chapters)
