Chapter IV : Out On A Mission

(WARNING : THIS CHAPTER CONTAINS GORE AT THE END.)

Throne room, the place where the King would usually sit and discuss his orders with his followers. Right now, Nacre and his friends stood not far from the throne, listening to every detail the King told them.

"...The location of your target is located near the city of freedom, Star region. You need to be very careful when you arrived at Grand Master Dream's region, make sure he doesn't find out what you did to the target." Nightmare explain as he gave his son a map, showing them where the target is.

There are four red spots marked on the map around the city of freedom and one red dot on the map with a little house drawn on it, Nacre thought that those are where their target usually hangs around and the red dot is where the house of their target is.

"Make sure you clear off the family first before you go after your target. As for the second mission, once you're done killing them off, immediately go to this place," Nightmare pointed at a blue marked spot on the map, near the bridge that connects the two lands. "That's where Hex's domain is located. Once you're done clearing the first target, the next you must clear out Hex's organization."

"Hex's Organization.. Isn't that the group that's been kidnapping and has done weird and dangerous experiments to both the people of this kingdom and Uncle Dream's people?" Nacre asked.

Nightmare nodded his head, "That's correct. Dream has sent me a message to clear off that organization. The reports from him says that they are in the works of creating a being that can destroy our world, he had tried to stop them by talking to them and even fighting them off but they didn't manage to push them off. It's best to wipe them off from existence quickly."

Nacre rolled up the map, "But.. Father.." Nacre lowers his voice so that his friends, who are standing behind him, wouldn't hear what he's gonna say, "they're powerful organization, I don't think my team would be able to handle them alone.."

Nightmare smiled softly to assure his son, "You needn't worry. You are not alone, if anything happens, I will be there in a second."

Nightmare looks up and saw Cross and Horror walking inside the throne room. Malice and the Horst siblings were surprised to see them, "My two teammates will accompany and help you to fight off that organization."

"What? But Papa has just come back home today.." Horrid stated. Horror gave him a head pat,

"I am aware, Horrid. But he'll need to accompany your team for this mission and help you if needed." Nightmare said.

"At least give him a one day break.." Horrid crossed his arms.

Nightmare hummed, "Hmhm, You won't be leaving today. He'll take a rest for today, Horrid. This mission might take you three to four days to complete, as the Region of Stars is pretty far away from here. So take a good rest today and prepare what you need to camp and for the mission."

"Maybe we don't need to camp, we can just stay at an Inn in Dream's city given that the first target is around outside of the city?" Cross suggested.

Nightmare shakes his head, "That won't be necessary. We are trying to hide the first mission from Dream. He couldn't find out that we're still killing people as we please and not when he asked to take care of the people that doesn't listen to him. If you stayed at an inn there, you'll have trouble in the mission."

Nacre stayed silent. He knew about the deal his father and his uncle made years ago at the end of the fourth World War. Even though Nightmare agreed to Dream's proposition, he didn't fully keep the promise to not kill people when Dream didn't told him to. He and his teammates still go out on mission to make people suffer and kill them, with or without Dream's instructions. They still did everything they always did behind Dream. If Dream found out, he won't be very happy and will be very upset at the least, at the worst, the fifth war might happen.
