I keep the good inside my heart,
I let it shine, and never letting it depart,
I let it guide me through life's art,
I continue to smile when times are hard.
I still show my kindness and strength,
A beacon that will go to any length,
A spark in my eye, to find a way to lend a hand,
To those around me that is across the land.
In my good heart, I know it's a precious gift,
My special treasure that never drift,
Letting me help my soul to heal and shift,
And my joy in sweet moments is uplift.
I strive to keep the good inside my heart,
And from day to day, let it be the light from the start,
Letting my mind to be smart,
As I strive to write my stories and their counterpart.
