"Why don't you stay the night" Chad said as he watched his girlfriend collect her things and place them into her bag, Phoebe turned to her boyfriend as she placed her hand on her hip "because I need to go home, my mother needs me." Phoebe reminded him, Chads hands fidgeting with each other as his leg bounced up and down.
"okay then, I'll spend the night at yours." Chad said as he got up from his bed, walking over to his closet to pull out his duffel bag.
"Chad, no." Phoebe said as she grabbed into his arm, stopping him in his place "I'll be fine, I promise." Phoebe reassured as she watched Chads face fall, worry laced in his eyes.
"I know but- We just lost Wes and Dewey, I can't go losing you too." Chad whispered as tears welled his eyes, causing Phoebe face to soften.
Phoebe stood on her tippy toes, and wrapped her arms around the boy neck, bringing him down into her arms as she brought him in a hug.
"I promise I'll be okay babe." Phoebe reassured as she whispered into his ear, rubbing his back in comfort.
After a few seconds Chad had pulled back just to place a kiss on the girl's forehead "okay well...at least let me drive you home." Chad said as his hand came upwards to rest on Phoebe's cheek, caressing the skin with his thumb.
"Okay." Phoebe nodded up at him with a smile, taking his hand off her face to place a kiss on his palm.
"I love you." Chad whispered, his eyes counting each on of her freckles.
Phoebe pushed her body upwards and pressed her lips to his, their lips moving together in since in a slow and love filled kiss before pulling back.
"I love you too."
Phoebe quietly shut the door behind her, making sure to lock it as Chad reminded her a million times on the ride back.
Phoebe placed her bag next to the front door, and made her way to the living to see her mother passed out on the couch, a few bottles of empty alcohol littered on the ground.
"Oh mom..." Phoebe whispered to herself as she stared down at her mother in pity, she quickly pulled her short hair up into a high pony tail, her bangs as well as a few shorter pieces falling into her face.
Phoebe walked into the kitchen and grabbed the small trash bin, walked back into the living room and began collecting all the trash.
After cleaning up she grabbed the blanket that ended up falling off her mother and on the ground and placed it back over her mother's sleeping body.
Phoebe then made her way into the hall and into her room, she slipped off her shoes and laid on her bed.
She curled up into a ball and grabbed into the stuff bear that Chad got her for their one year anniversary.
Phoebe pulled it into her chest, hugging it tightly to her body as her eyes landed on the photo of Chad and Phoebe on their first date, that sat on her nightstand.
Phoebe stood up and walked to her dresser, grabbing a pair of leggings and a over sized shirt.
The girl stood in front of her mirror as she got undressed, stopping once both her shirt and pants had been removed to stare at the healed scares that were scattered on her thighs.
There she stared at the main reason she had been refusing to have sex with her boyfriend, she was scared of what he would think, what he would do, how he would look at her once finding out about her dark secret.
Phoebe blinked, taking her eyes off her the healed cuts before slipping her leggings over her bottom half before removing her shirt, and replacing it with one of Chad's shirts she had stolen from his closet.
Her body turned to her nightstand once she heard the sound of a buzzing sound.
She walked up to her bed and picked up her phone, watching as her boyfriend's contact came flashing into her screen.
Phoebe smiled as she pressed the decline button before opening up the messages between the two.
