Chapter 4

As we slowly walk towards Great-gan gan's coffin, l could hear hundreds of clicks from the camera those Journalists are taking of us. Unfortunately Helena and l couldn't hold one another hands to support each other so we gave glances of reassurance here and there as we got closer to the coffin.

Just look in front, l told myself. It was so silent you can actually hear a pin drop. Even the cameras are all soft, not loud which is a different experience honestly.

As we walk up the stairs that holds Great-gan gan, for a moment, l wanted to touch her coffin. I truly miss her a lot and l just want to see her face and touch her hands just one last time, but the coffin is closed, and all l see is a heavy solid brown box with expensive designs on it. If l hadn't been told that's Great-gan gan's coffin, l would have thought it is some kind of decorative structure from the Church for showcase.

Father pointed to the position we are suppose to go. Helena is at the end of the coffin while l stand the opposite side of it. We did what Mother had told us to do. Look down, no talking, put your hands over each other and most important of all, stay put.

An hour later

"Deng!......Deng! " OH, It went off! I said to myself. The chime really startled me a lot and l was too used to the quietness in the Church hall. My head turned the Helena, who's eyes are wide-opened. Guess she got stunned by the chime as well. The past hour was really just nothing, with important ministers coming from all parts of the world coming to pay their respects.

A guard with a sword started coming towards us, motioning us down. I remembered what grandmother had told us and made gestures towards Helena to follow me. We walked into a single file and followed behind the weird looking guard to the exit where we found Mother standing there, ready to embrace us.

"The past hour really went by quickly Mother! It wasn't that hard. " Helena boasted to her.

"Yea right, who kept muttering under her breath saying her feet are sore? " l teased. Helena stuck her tongue towards my direction. But mother didn't say anything. She just beam at us and for a second l swear there was a hint of sparkle in her eyes.

Mother brought us to the Church second level. There is a balcony there where you can still observe the ceremony and everyone else who are not participating the paying respect ceremony were up there all this time.
Grandmother and Grandfather are sitting on a chair due to their age and I'm guessing Aunt Lesley and Mother had been standing for the past 1 hour because there are only 2 chairs there.

"You guys have done a great job", Grandfather stood up and kissed our cheeks as a form of greeting with each other.

1 Month later.....

Today is the day where Grandfather is going to make a speech.

Many people on the internet are speculating if Uncle Philip and Aunt Olga is going to inherit the title that is made for the heirs to the throne, Crown Prince and Princess of the Realms which represent the togetherness of the different places in Gironia. Should they have that title, Isabella's new rank would be Princess Isabella, The Duchess of Veinin, title that is reserve for the eldest child of TRH Crown Prince and Princess of the Realms.

Not only that, many people are wondering if Helena, me, Talia and James are going to have titles as well. Well, for Talia and James titles, there is a huge debate going on right now with the public.

The problem was should they receive a title from grandfather, they are going to be prince and princess abroad; and although Japan has their own royal family, the idea of them receiving titles but not living in Gironia upsets people a lot . They questioned the loyalty both Aunt Lesley and Uncle Carl has to our country and getting their children to have a privilege abroad makes it worse.
