She couldn't see in the pitch black room. Her heart pounded, for she knew someone was in the room with her. Someone spoke in a deep, rich voice.

"Poor little girl. How did you get in here again? You may need to refresh my memory." The man turned a light on and the prisoner saw his features for the first time since she was taken. He smiled a smile any chick would go for.

The girl just smirked.

"I won't refresh your memory, you worthless piece of shit." The prisoner hissed at the man's face.

He grabbed he chin. "Remember, you are nothing here, sweet one. I can do whatever I want."

"I will remember that you're an ass, Alturas. Trust me, I won't forget that." She smiled as she said that.

Alturas let go of her chin and struck her. "Really? Don't get on my nerves. I am the one who has the power to kill you, Nora."

The girl hissed as he said her name, tauntingly. "Never say my name like that again." She glared at Alturas golden eyes and tried to plan multiple ways to kill him. "They will save me and when they do, my sister and I will, personally, send you to Hell and back again."

He laughed. "Sure, of course. Two little girls will defeat me. Priceless." He cocked his head and stared at Nora. He looked down and pulled out a knife with a handle of green crystal. Alturas slid it down her arm, before pushing the cold metal into her burning skin.

Nora clenched her teeth and growled deep in her throat. She shut her violet eyes tightly, not wanting to see what he had carved this time.

She felt his frozen breath on her neck and shivered, unwillingly. He spoke. "You will never be saved and you will never leave."

Nora heard him get up and leave, turning the light off behind him. She strained her eyes to see her arm and stifled a sob when she had seen what he carved.

'Terror'. That was all she saw before her skin started to knit back together.

Nora looked away and shut her eyes.

Soon, she fell asleep. And all she saw was that one word. 'Terror'.
