"Mom, can I take the blindfold off now?" Dani asked, stood in the doorway of the garage with her mom's scarf tied across her eyes, Rory clutching one hand, Jess the other.

"Wait, let me just turn the lights on." Lorelai tutted, fumbling with something, "There we go!"

"Since when were there lights in the garage?" Dani snorted.

"Since a week ago." Rory commented before smiling at her mom and taking the blindfold off her twin sister and revealing her new room.

"No fucking way." Dani breathed, staring with wide eyes at the room that was now her's. Lorelai had decided to give up on correcting her daughter's language and just left her to it. Jess smiled from his place next to her, their hands linked. He laughed softly at her expression, staring at the bright colors and decorations, all her stuff and new things that Lorelai had brought her. Dani slowly let go off Jess's hand and barreled straight into her mom, hugging her tight.

"Thank you." She whispered in her mom's ears and hugged her tighter.

"Anytime, Blue."

"Oh my God." Lorelai breathed as they walked into Luke's to find it empty, except the man himself.

Dani asked, looking up from her arm where she was scribbling, "What?

"Look." Rory gestured to the empty tables.

"Empty." Lorelai clarified.

Luke shrugged, wiping down the counter, "Just one of those weird lulls, happens occasionally."

"Can we sit wherever we like?" Rory asked.

"Wherever you like." Luke nodded.

Dani smiled, "Wow."

"Such luxury I never dreamed of." Lorelai hummed, looking around.

Rory asked them both, "Where do you wanna sit?"

"I don't know. Um, how 'bout this table with it's unobstructed westward view of the wide cosmopolitan expansive Klump Street?" Lorelai suggested.

Rory nodded slowly, "Tempting. Do you know that on a clear day you can see all the way to the garbage cans behind Al's Pancake World?"

Lorelai hummed, "Hm. Or we could sit in the corner - you know, the Mafia table so that no one can come up behind you and whack you with a cannoli."

"Whack you with a cannoli? Oh, because he left the gun and took the cannoli." Dani realized.

Lorelai smiled fondly, "You're so my daughter."

"Aye aye." Luke snorted.

"Hey, let's sit at the counter." Rory pointed.
