Deceiving

One little mistake, one wrong move
Smack to the nape, Punch till I bruise
Bottles of beer and a stupid excuse
Wine and Whiskey and Salt in my wounds.

One little meeting, one sweet date
Thought it was love, fell for the bait
Fell for the lies that she put on my plate
Now I have to bear this overwhelming weight.

I'm drowning in my worries, Drowning in my fears
Stomach is empty, eyes full of tears
Thought I forgot after all those years
Nothing seems to be as it appears.
