-Shann-
It was raining when I woke up. I looked at the time to see it was already noon. I quickly got dressed,had a shower,had some left over rabbit for break fast and ran out of the door to meet my best friend Gale Hawthorne to hunt. District 12 is a horrible place to live. Most of us die from starvation. I live with my mother and my little sister Emily by ourselves because my father passed away. After a long walk to the forest I arrived to find Gale sitting on a log singing to himself. "Hey trouble." He smiled and pulled me into a hug. I've always had feelings for Gale but had never been able to tell him. "Hi Gale. The reaping's today remember,can't be late." I say. Every year two tributes from all 12 Districts go into a violent game where they fight till the death. However 4 tributes this year will be chosen from each District. The reaping is where the tributes are chosen. This year me and Gale's names are being put in there 20 times which increases our chances of being a tribute. 2pm today will be the reaping where Effie Trinket from the rich city called the Capitol will read out the names. Me and Gale spent 2 hours hunting and made our way to the reaping in the square.

I took Shann's hand and walked with her into the square where we stood with our families. We all applauded as Effie Trinket who was wearing a bright pink wig walked onto the stage with a huge smile painted onto her face. She said a speech about the games and walked towards the two glass bowls holding names from boys and girls. She walked towards the girl bowl first,opened the lip and read out the name "Shann Sykes" my stomach dropped. I looked over the Shann and she was no longer happy. She let go of my hand and walked onto the stage,shook Effie's hands and stood at the back waiting the other tribute to be announced. Effie took the last name out and read "Gale Hawthorne" when my name was read out I was a bit relieved,I can try and keep Shann safe. I was a bit worried though. I got on stage did the same thing as Shann did and walked off with her hand in mine.

-Chloe-
I couldn't believe it when my name was read out in my District. I walked on stage nervously,waving to my parents in the audience and waited for the boys name to be read after shortly after mine was. The name was read out as 'Greg West' and a good looking blonde haired boy walked onto the stage and smiled at me. I recognised him from my English class at school. I shook his hand and walked off stage with him.
-Greg-
It was quite mad thinking my fellow tribute was the quiet pretty girl in my English class. She was extremely nervous when we walked off stage to join the other two tributes named Nicola Jones and Francis Smith who I've never met in my life. I put my arm around her for encouragement which she appreciated.
~~~~In District 12 also~~~~
-Becky-
My heart sank when my name was read out. I've been dreading this moment from the day I first put my name in the bowl. I nervously waited for the boys name to be read out. The lady picked up a piece of paper and read "Peeta Mellark" and a tall blonde haired boy walked onto stage. He works in the bakery. He sold me cakes many times. He shook my hand and we walked off stage.
-Peeta-
Becky the girl who buys my bread and cakes looked very pretty with her hair braided back and her glasses sitting comfortably on her nose. She looked at me awkwardly and we walked off stage together to join one of my good friends Shann and her best friend Gale backstage.
~~~~~District 4~~~~
-Summer-
"Summer Parsons" Damn I thought. Why me? I walked onto the stage to shake the lady's hands and waited for the boys name to be read out. She took out the paper and read out "Finnick Odair' I knew him. He walked onto the stage,greeted me and we walked to the back of the stage waiting for the next names to be called out.
-Finnick-
The next name called out from the girls side was 'Laurie Roberts' she was quite small but she looked fierce. Then after her 'Micky Parsons' was read out,Summer's younger brother. I soon fell sorry for Summer's parents. Two of their kids fighting to survive. Micky walked onto the stage smiled then hugged his beautiful sister and we walked off stage together.
