~~~Part 5~~~
~~~Let The Games Begin~~~
After all the tributes got changed into their arena wear they stood in the tubes ready to go out to fight. "5,4,3,2,1,LET THE HUNGER GAMES BEGIN!" Shouted a man from the screen and the tributes left their platforms. The arena was a huge woods with different fruits hanging from the trees around it.
-Peeta-
I grabbed Becky's hand and grabbed our bags and 2 weapons and paint and ran and ran and ran till we found a tree to stay in. "Are you okay?" I asked her softly. "Yes I'm fine." BANG BANG BANG "That's 3 people gone" BANG BANG BANG BANG "And another 4 already." These bangs went on for an hour. I counted 25 people dead which is over half gone already in an hour. "Peeta. What if we're next?" Becky cried worrying. "We'll be ready." Becky nodded and smiled.
-Becky-
"Did you get my dagger?" I asked Peeta hopeful that he did. He nodded and I took out the dagger from his hands and cut an apple in half which was hanging from the tree above us. This very tree was like the one just outside my house that me and Nathan used to climb every sunny morning. The thought of home brought a tear to my eye. Peeta saw me crying so he held me close and planted his lips on mine.
-Greg-
I sprinted across the field and grabbed mine and Chloe's bags and ran towards a lake in the distance with her hand tightly in mine. As soon as we left the Cornucopia I took her to a lake on the other side of the woods and we sat down and filled up our bottles and watched the sun set in the distance. "I'm scared Greg." Chloe started to cry and so I held her hand tighter and whispered "As long as your with me you'll be safe I promise." and she smiled.
-Chloe-
After watching the sunset I grabbed my sword and killed the deer who was hiding behind the bush "Venison for tea then." Greg laughed and I nodded and we cooked our tea and set up a place to sleep where I slept in his warm,muscly arms. "Chloe?" Greg said and my eyes shot open "Is there something wrong are you alright?" I cried worried.
"Everything's fine I just um wanted to say er I-i love you." He smiled.
"I love you too Greg."
-Finnick-
I grabbed Summer's hand and grabbed our bags and ran for it towards the woods and found a small cave where we sat in and we talked for hours then heard the many cannon shots signifying deaths. "This is horrible already. So m-many people d-dying." Summer stuttered while tears poured out of her eyes. "I know but we got to stay strong. I've got you a huge knife by the way." I replied taking out the knife that was strapped to my spear. "Is there any food?" She asked me. "Yes just a bit of bread here have a bit and we'll hunt tomorrow morning okay." She nodded.
-Summer-
I was crying through all my sleep so Finnick held me closer and sang a lullaby in my ear and then went to sleep himself holding me in his arms through the night and I felt safe.
-Gale-
I grabbed my and Shann's backs and we ran together to a huge field behind the woods which was full of flowers. We caught our breath and lay down on the soft grass together holding hands. "This reminds me of home." Shann cried while smiling. "Yeah same. I'll never forget those days." I replied looking over to her in her blue eyes. "Same." I got my bow and shot out an banana from the tree and split in half for me and Shann and we watched the sky turn into night.
-Shann-
I leant my head on Gale's chest while we were singing our song from junior school and I just wished we could stay there but with out the risks of being killed. It was perfect just lying there with the boy of my dreams next to me. We started to fall asleep with a huge blanket Gale made from flowers and grass and watched the many dead faces appear in the sky and shut our eyes and went to sleep.
