Given the family relationship between Jiang Cheng and Jin Ling, Jiang Cheng never needed prior notice when he came to Koi Tower. However, since Jin Ling was now the sect leader of his sect, Jiang Cheng felt he could not be as casual as before. He should follow the rules of etiquette when meeting with a fellow sect leader, so he usually sends a notice ahead before visiting. Today, however, with incidents that happened, it made it urgent. So Jiang Cheng decided not to make an exception this time, and landed directly in front of the doors of Koi Tower.

As soon as the Jin sect disciples saw Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen visiting simultaneously, they knew that something serious must have happened. While hurriedly asking the two sect leaders to wait in Blossom Garden, the disciples rushed off to inform their own young sect leader.

Although Lan Xichen still wore the same smile on his face as usual, his heart felt heavy as if several mountain boulders were pressing down on him. Blossom Garden is a guest residence frequently used by sect leaders throughout the years of them leading the Jin Sect. Jin Guangyao liked this hall the most in those days. Once upon a time when he didn't know Jin Guangyao's true face, he often talked freely with Jin Guangyao in the Blossom Garden. They had talked about everything, and he was happy and comfortable, but now those memories seem unstoppable to him. The memories now are like poison or a sharp weapon that brings nothing but pain and heartache.

He's afraid the four paintings he had painted for Jin Guangyao were still hanging on the wall of the study room at the back of the residence. Lan Xichen was quiet in his sadness, as he walked slightly behind Jiang Cheng. The younger man who was ahead suddenly stopped and glanced briefly back at him, then away. Lan Xichen didn't know what had happened, he only heard Jiang Cheng tell the disciple who was leading them, "We won't go to Blossom Garden, the residence there is stuffy, tell Sect Leader Jin, I'll wait for him in his childhood quarters."

"Ah? This..." The disciple who led the way seemed a little flustered. Jiang Cheng stated, "We know the way, so we can go by ourselves. Go and inform Sect Leader Jin."

"Okay, okay, please do as you see fit, sect leaders." The disciple knew that these two often went in and out of the Koi Tower, and probably wouldn't get lost, so they felt at ease to go and report to Jin Ling.

"Sect Leader Jiang..."

"Come with me." Jiang Cheng cast a contemptuous glance at Lan Xichen, before striding towards the other end. Lan Xichen was stunned for a moment, before following as the painful feeling in his heart suddenly faded. Perhaps that certain thorn would remain in his heart forever, but Lan Xichen realized that as long as he was with Jiang Cheng, it seemed to disappear, and it would no longer hurt or make him uncomfortable. Looking at Jiang Cheng's back, Lan Xichen didn't realize he involuntarily showed a knowing smile.

Jiang Cheng was used to going to Koi Tower to pick up Jin Ling, so he was familiar with this part of the route. After passing through several luxurious and magnificent courtyards and corridors, he arrived at the residence where Jin Ling had grown up in. Jin Ling was a son of direct lineage to the Jin bloodline. So his residence not only had a large garden, but also had his own guest room. However, since he became the Jin Sect Leader, he moved to the Fangfei Pavilion, so this location was not often used anymore.

When the guard disciples caught sight of Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen, they didn't dare to neglect them, and hurriedly welcomed them into the guest room. After sitting in the room for a while, the two heard footsteps coming towards them from in the distance, accompanied by a loud dog barking.

"Jiujiu! Jiujiu, you are here to see me!"

Lan Xichen saw Jin Ling rushing in with a smile full of joy on his face. When he saw Jiang Cheng, he appeared like he wanted to rush over and hug him. Yet when Jiang Cheng glared at him viciously, he suddenly remembered that Sect Leader Lan was also there and stopped himself. Jin Ling immediately adopted an upright and dignified posture worn by sect leaders, but Fairy didn't seem to care about giving her master any type of face at all, and hurled herself on Jiang Cheng, her tongue sticking out happily.
