3rd person POV
(Y/N) (L/N) was always a big fan of Formula one from a young age, watching races with his grandfather Steven (L/N) who loved watching the races with his grandson, being a big fan of the sport himself, seeing as his own son, Jack, never wanted to watch the races with him. Although, he was never allowed to go to a race, he watched as many as he could on T.V with Steven, going as far as to stay up at ungodly hours on school nights just to watch cars drive in a circle for a few hours just to fall in the middle of class the next day.
(Y/N) would even watch replays of old racers from before he was born with his grandfather, idolising the likes of Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Mika Hakkinen, and even Michael Schumacher, despite him being a Ferrari driver, he quickly realised that his favourite team was McLaren, much like his grandfather. Steven was always a fan of the sport but really became a fan in 1966 when McLaren were first a team, thus started is support for the team.
As a result of his grandson's fascination of the sport, in 2003, being retired and wanting to support his grandson, Steven would often take (Y/N) to local Karting tracks to drive together, quickly learning that (Y/N) was skilled he decided to talk to (Y/N)'s parents in attempt to let him start karting competitively.
"He's too young, he's only six!", exclaimed Sarah, concerned for her son's safety, if something were to happen during a race she knew she would never be able to forgive herself if (Y/N) was seriously injured. Only to be responded to by Steven saying
"All potential drivers start this young Sarah, and I know it'll be expensive but I'll fund it myself." It was true, formula one was an expensive sport to get into with all the traveling to races and funding your own kart in earlier years.
"Who's to say he even wants to do it." Calmly stated the worried Jackson.
"He does, surely you've seen him running around the house pretending to be the next Michael Schumacher. And he's bloody good at racing, better than everyone else that goes to karting with us." Responded Steven, determined to help his grandson realise his dream.
"Well, if he really wants to do it, and he's as good as you think, then I guess as long as you want to pay, he can race in a few competitions and we'll see how it goes." Reluctantly Sarah agreed to her father-in-law's pleads to let her son start racing.
See, Jack and Sarah (L/N) could never understand their son's fascination with the motorsport, they thought it was rather boring to watch cars drive in weirdly shaped circles for hours, but if it made their son happy, they were happy to support him through his endeavours and would attend as many of his races as they could.

3rd Person POV
Along with his family, (Y/N) moved to England to race in the karting competition in Europe, in the hopes that it would lead to a better chance of the 11-year-old one day making it to Formula 1. Both (Y/N)'s parents and all his grandparents showed up to his first competitive race in the European competition, making the young boy even more nervous about the race, wanting to do a good job to impress all the people in the new competition. Unfortunately, the nerves and the lack of race experience compared to others got the best of him as he made too many mistakes in qualifying, ending qualifying in second last meaning the race would be almost impossible for him to win.
"Tough luck out there in qualifying champ, don't worry about it everyone has bad days." Steven said, attempting to motivate his grandson, "Remember it doesn't matter where you qualify, you can still finish well in the race."
"But what if I crash again, or don't have a good race, or the others are too good for me." Responded the young boy, nerves growing "my mum and dad will be disappointed if I don't do a good job. What if we moved to England for nothing?"
