Seonghwa's apartment wasn't the biggest.
It was a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment with a small kitchen and small living room.
Seonghwa didn't have a lot of people over— he didn't have anyone over. The only person who had ever been inside of his apartment, aside from him and his child, was the babysitter. He only had a small couch, enough to fit a few people in the living room, along with the coffee table and a TV, nothing too much. Nothing to get attached to in case he had to leave. He did have a lot of chairs though, thanks to his neighbors, an elderly couple who saw a single father and wanted to help out. Or, at least, that was the excuse they gave him. Seonghwa still believed they gave him all of their old junk. Mars was annoyed at first, he didn't think he needed the mismatched chairs so he put them to the side for a rainy day.
Well, today was a storm.
The seven men he was trying to run away from had popped up all at once. The King and his seven Princes all together again. Hongjoong, San, Wooyoung and Yeosang took the couch on the right side of the room, coffee table in front of them. While Mingi, Jongho, and Yunho sat in chairs on the left side of the room, backs to the TV. Mars sat in his own chair right at the end of the coffee table.
All eyes on him.
At this point, no one had said a word yet.
The oldest could somewhat understand how they felt. Realistically, he knew this day would come eventually and he had a whole apology and some kind of explanation he was ready to give when it did. He thought about it for months but, now that they were all in front of him, everything he thought about flew out the window. They must've had so much to say to him, yet no one said a word.
"Hongjoong and San, I expected. But how did the rest of you get here so quickly?" Seonghwa asked, speaking the first words since he opened the door.
"Yeosang found traces of what he thought was you in this city so we came to look." Yunho started.
"Meeting with Jaehwa was mostly a coverup." San continued, "No one knows that you left, just that you haven't been out for a bit."
"It was hard tracking you down but, once you left The Paradigm, you gave us a starting point. That was all Yeosang needed." Hongjoong finished.
"I see. I didn't think you would keep looking for me for so long." Seonghwa mumbled, looking down at his hand infected lap.
"You left in the middle of the night without a word. Of course we wouldn't stop looking." Mingi argued, hurt in his deep voice. He had looked so sad the minute he saw Seonghwa. As if the dark haired male's absence had caused the other so much pain.
"Yeah, Seonghwa, what the fuck?!" Wooyoung's voice was powerful, loud but not yelling.
The older had expected nothing less from him. Wooyoung always had strong emotions. he was either extremely happy or extremely angry no in between.
Seonghwa lean back into his chair. Letting out a deep breath. "I didn't want to be apart of that life anymore."
He didn't really know where he was going with this. If he could get them to leave without them knowing he had a kid, he could count that as a win. If they found out, it wouldn't be hard to squeeze out who the father is. Then he'd be right back in the same position he was in over a year ago. He was hoping they would all stay calm and quiet as to not wake up the baby.
But Wooyoung never gets that memo.
"You didn't want that life anymore?" He echoed angrily. "If you wanted to leave that life, that's find, but why did you have to leave us behind with it!?" He yelled, standing up. "Why did you have to move three cities away just to get away from us!?"
