Heeyoung POV

The bright lights were the first things I saw when I woke up. Was I dead? Was I in heaven?

"H-hello?" I said and looked around as my vision was blurry. I blinked a few times and saw wires attached to my skin, pillows stabilizing my right leg, and bandages wrapped around my arm. I felt my face with my free left hand, finding band-aids around it. A gauze pad was on my right cheek. My arms were covered in bruises and little cuts that didn't require band-aids. A nurse opened the door, glanced at his clipboard, then looked up, jaw dropping before rushing out to fetch a doctor.

"She's awake!" I heard him say. A doctor rushed in, smiling.

"Park Heeyoung, I'm so glad that you're awake."

"W-what happened?" I asked, my raspy voice hurting as I spoke.

"After the car crash, you were rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery on your leg. It was successful, but your leg is broken and will take time to heal. You'll be discharged in about a week, but we want to keep you here for observations. It should take 6 weeks for your leg to heal, and you'll need physical therapy. But you should be able to dance soon!" He said, smiling.

"Thank you," I replied, absorbing the information. One question burned in my mind.

"Where's Hwang Yeji?"

"She's in a different room. Her leg was severely injured, and she's resting now. But you have other visitors."

"Heeyoung!" Lia screamed, running towards me for a huge hug. I jumped, still processing, and practically leaped out of bed.

"UNNIE!" Yuna said, giving me a second big hug. Ryujin smiled and waited for Lia to break the hug before getting her share.

"I'm so glad you're okay," Ryujin said.

"Is Yeji okay, Unnie?" I asked, Yuna handing me water. The coldness felt refreshing on my throat.

"She's doing okay, but blaming herself for the accident," Lia said sadly.

I forgive her; it was an accident. I knew Yeji was trying her best to get me on time for practice. She stayed up late the night before to practice one part of the song 'Cheshire' since she always messed up that one bit. She was up until 2 in the morning, and we got up at 6 to start preparing for the MV. I hoped she didn't beat herself up about this. But knowing Yeji, she'd beat the hell out of herself for injuring one of her members, and considering we were practically family, her head would mess with her a lot.

"Can I go see her?" I asked the doctor.

"Oh sure. Let me get you some crutches," The doctor said and rushed out of the room for a minute or two and brought back two crutches. Ryujin and Lia helped me up while Yuna opened the door wide enough for me my crutches.

"Thank you girls for coming to visit me," I said while walking down to Yeji's room. They all nodded and escorted me to her room.

"We'll wait out here for you," Ryujin said.

"Thanks Unnie," I said, and Yuna opened the door again.

I went inside and saw Yeji burying her face into her hands and sobbing. My heart broke in two.

"Yeji Unnie..." I softly said not to startle her. She looked up and wiped the tears away from her face.

"Heeyoung!" She said and got out of bed, almost falling, and giving me a huge hug.

"I'm so sorry Heeyoung. I wish I had paid more attention to the road and slowed down and listened to you and-" I cut her off my putting my finger up to her lips.

"It's okay Unnie. I'm fine, see? It's just a broken leg. It'll heal in about 6 weeks, or at least that's what the doctor told me." Yeji looked down, her eyes filled with guilt and redness from crying so much.

"Yeji, look at me." I said softly. She reluctantly looked up at me.

"This wasn't all your fault. That driver wasn't supposed to cross the section until the light turned green. Our light turned yellow but we were already in the middle when that happened. Lia unnie told me what the police said. Please don't beat yourself up about this, you know how much I hate to see you upset." I caressed Yeji's check and wiped away the last remaining tear stains. She nodded and I smiled.

"Get some rest Yeji, I'll do the same," I said and turned around and made my way to the door but stopped.

"Also, you kept your promise," I said.

"Huh?" Yeji asked, confused.

"Lia unnie didn't eat my mochi, Ryujinnie told me it was still in the freezer. Night Unnie!"

I heard Yeji laugh a little before I exited the room. Ryujin and Lia were looking at something together on their screen. They were reading something. I took a peek at it, and it was a...fan fiction?

"Uhh Ryujin, Lia unnie? What are you doing?" I asked when I sneaked up from behind them. They both jumped, and Ryujin shut off her phone.

"N-nothing!" Lia said and smiled her little sloth smile.

"We were just reading an...an article on something," Ryujin quickly explained.

"Okay..." I just brushed it off and went back to my room. I laid back down and sighed deeply. My head still hurt from earlier, except there wasn't any blood.

"Thank god," I thought while rubbing the sore spot. "No wonder why I have a huge headache." I quickly dozed off, probably from the anesthesia still, but was very grateful that I was alive. I just hoped Yeji wouldn't beat herself up about this.

It's okay Unnie, it's not like I'm going to go crazy or anything.
