Chapter 7 Joey Save Her

In reality I wasn't ok, questions still bugged me and that women her stone expression hunted me to the core.

Who was she? How did Mercury do that? What the heck does she want with me?

SETH POV

"Mercury what happened?" J&J stepped outside a moment while Roman and Dean stayed with Clara.

"One minute we were talking the next she put her down and started groaning in pain." Jamie spoke first.

"I had to close the door Seth, but her mind is so weak she needs to be taught how to protect herself, I taught Dean I will be willing to teach her, she is strong, she can handle it."

I nodded to Joey, "But no other women has survived the linking minds only Romans mate but she died Joey I cant risk it." I pulled my fingers through my hair in frustration.

"Listen Seth, her mind is so weak I could easily pull memories and information out of her and that was exactly what that women was doing, to shut her out of Clara's mind I had to drive into Clara's memories to see whatever the women was looking for, and trust me it's not good. Clara has a dark past, you need to protector and I must teach her how to shut people out or she will die."

The last word hit me the most, I couldn't let Clara die, not matter what her past was like she's The Shield's future.

Hours past Clara thankfully didn't have another episode but she had passed out asleep not long ago. Right now Roman carried her to the hotel Mercury and Noble will be coming up to help with the steps of mind linking or whatever the hell its called.

"Seth? What's happening? Why is the security guys here?" Clara woke up from her light sleep just as I turned on the light.

"Everything will be alright, you remember Dean and his mojo mind tricks well Joey here taught him everything, he's like the godfather to all things mind linking." She nodded as she sat upright looking a bit dazed and confused.

"Where's Dean?" She squeaked out.

"He's outside with Roman do you want them here too?" She nodded while I gave her a warm smile.

A couple of minutes late the small hotel room was packed Noble and Mercury to the side while Dean sat with Clara talking to her about what is about to happen, while Roman and I gathered a few things we may need later for the hunt.

Clara POV

Man all this talk about mind linking and powers is giving me a headache, I wonder if the knew about me talking to the goddess Mercury must know he watched all my memories well most of them.

"Clara do you remember me?"

"Mercury right?" He nodded.

"But you can call me Joey" He smiled. "Do you remember what happened earlier? At the arena?" He asked.

"Yeah...that women she's always in my firkin head. Ever since I spoke to the goddess." The light chatted that had been happening in the room fell to a silence. Crap they didn't know.
