His P.O.V

Today was a beautiful day.

Absolutely gorgeous fall day, which meant it was a fantastic day to play lacrosse.

God how I loved that sport more then anything else. I legitimately ate, slept and breathed that damn sport. Any moment I didn't have a stick in my hands I was thinking about it.

I had single handedly dedicated ten years of my life to this sports. Spending countless hours in my backyard working on technic. Taking lessons that I didn't need just to keep my skills sharp in the off season, which for me was never. I couldn't help myself that I had become so addicted to the game.

Just something about it drew me and took me over entirely. When I was on that field my mind was focused on nothing except the ball and why it wasn't in my pocket.

Not to mention it was great stress relief as sex wasn't much of an option since that little bitch Riley had cock blocked me at every step.

Even thinking about her made me want to smash my stick against a tree but I would never do that to my baby. Even if she got under my skin without even having no to be present.

How she had managed to make sure I hadn't got laid in almost six months was beyond me but she had. Every fucking time another female was near me she would manage to chase them off.

The most recent time had potentially been the most cruel.

I had decided to go to the party that Tyler has decided to have since his and Marisa's parents were out of town. Oh did I forget to emotion my best friend and that little skank are twins.,Fuck me right. Anyway I had decided to go because any party with Tyler Riley's name on it was bound to be a good ass time. I was completely sober while this giant fuckery went down, meanwhile this hot little number was a little bit less sober then I.

And I knew I was about five seconds from taking her back to my place before this feeling someone sling their arm around my neck and grab my face kissing me. Which only lasted second before her overly sweet sarcastic tone rang through my eardrums.

"Aw baby it's so nice of you to show the freshman around" She said kissing my cheek.

"Hi I'm Ris" She smiled at the girl sticking out a hand.

"And I'm gonna go." The other girl turned her nose up and walked away.

Immediately tossing her arm off of me I shot daggers straight at her.

"You are a sick bitch you know that" I growled at her.

"Of course doll. How else would I get off if not watching you suffer" She smirked at me.

"Really you two can't you stop for five minutes" Tyler intervened sipping from his cup.

"But out Tyler" We called at the same time turning our gazes from him to each other.

"Keep that bitch in line." I spit before walking off.

Jesus how I hated her so much that I had so desperately wanted to smack her upside the head with my stick a few times. Even though I didn't bring my stick around the Riley household as anything that wasn't used for hitting a puck was contraband.

The Riley family was known for their legacy in hockey. Starting all the way back to their great-great grandfather or someone like that.

Where on the other hand my father had been dead set on carving a legacy for our family in lacrosse. Which he believed was an increasingly popular sport. Not to mention my mother supported it to help with my supposed anger issues.

What she didn't realize was that all my stress could be sourced back to the she devil herself.

She had been tormenting since we had met back in kindergarten and I had pulled on one of her pigtails.

To think that our hatred for one another ran that deep was mind boggling. Partially due to the fact that I couldn't believe I had known her for almost twelve years.

A mere two years before I had , had my first lacrosse stick placed in my hands. God how I loved that damn thing. I still have it to this day hanging on my wall with all of my other sticks.

But my favorite by far had to be the stick I snapped in half during a freezing cold state championship game.

This was due to the fact that I had the all time best Hail Mary shot in the world that game.

God how I loved this game, and fully intended playing it for as long as I could. Which according to my doctor wouldn't be too long after I hit 30.

Due to the multiple breaks, fractures and whatever other injuries I had endured in my ten years experience.

I had lost count in all honesty between dislocating a disk in my back, to breaking a few fingers. But don't get me wrong I had injured myself outside of lacrosse too.

Which I didn't do often as the last time I broke my wrist in a fight coach told me to knock it off or lose my captains spot. And that was not something I would give away to anyone.

I had firmly held that title since I was a sophomore.Having been on the varsity team since the year before, not to brag or anything.

I had to follow in my brothers footsteps as Anthony had been Grey Views golden boy when he attended.

Having been on the varsity team since his freshmen year and obtaining a captains spot that same year. Making it onto homecoming court every year as well as being his class representative every year as well. Everyone knew Ant and everyone loved him.

So it was no surprise everyone always compared me to him. So although I loved my brother to pieces I always had to try and be one step ahead. Which I had never fully managed to do until I had realized there was one thing I could beat him in.

And that my friend was academics, yep I was smart believe it or not. But the only reason I even gave a little bit of care was because I needed to be at the top of my game as well as the top of my class to get colleges to look at me.

However I didn't really care about being better then Anthony because I had realized long ago. That Anthony and I are two very different people. But there was one thing I did know.

I had big shoes to fill.
