"Pause, why we gotta watch this with subtitles every time though?" Zac asked a few minutes into the episode
"Uhm, isn't it always better that way?"
"Nah, you women watch shit with subtitles cause y'all don't know how to listen,"
Fatima rolled her eyes, "Zac, shut up and watch this damn show," she replied laughing
They continued their back and forth as the episode went on.
"Yo, I'm telling you shorty on some bullshit, she big trippin'," Zac said shaking his head. The episode of Breaking Bad had just finished and he was still reeling from the events that had taken place in the episode.
"I mean he's doing all this for her and they kids, the man is dying and he figured the least he can do is make sure they are okay after he dies,"
He looks over to Fatima only to find her with a goofy smile on her pretty face.
"What are you smiling for?"
"You, you sound like you're about to go help him,"
"All I'm saying is if I'm doing some shit for you the least you can do is support me not make shit harder,"
"Don't worry Zachy, if you ever wanted to become a drug dealer for me I'd stand behind you, ten toes down,"
"That's my girl," he said looking at her and the look he gave her made her feel warm inside.
She returns the look for a second before schooling her features, she'd been doing that a lot lately, then she stood abruptly and began to collect their dishes.
Zac licked his lips and shook his head.
He doesn't move from his spot, choosing to watch in amusement as she avoided having to look him in the face. Balancing everything in her hands, she turned and walked toward the kitchen, giving him the perfect view of her ass in the booty shorts she was wearing.
Down, boy.
Fatima had no idea how beautiful she was or how much being around her affected him in all the right ways, physically and mentally. She was smart as a whip, a go-getter, and his best fucking friend.
"You doing anything on Saturday?" he asked, following her into the kitchen,
"If you're trying to get me to go to another soccer game then yes I'm busy," she replied.
Chuckling, he moved in beside her to help load the dishwasher. "Please, it's not my fault you're the one who lied to your date and told him you knew all about soccer," he teased.
Squinting her eyes at him, she shot back, "You didn't have to ask me about the terminology to embarrass me knowing I didn't know a damn thing,"
Fatima had been dating a British guy that was into soccer and had told him she was a big fan of the sport and because Zac knew she was lying he suggested they go on a double date to watch a match.
At the match Zac had casually asked Fatima, "Do you even know what offside is?" and confidently she had replied, "That's Cardi b's husband ain't it?"
The look on the guy's face had been priceless. From that day onwards, Zac would tease Fatima by bringing up the Migos and calling Offset "offside," or mentioning going to a soccer match.
"I want to take you somewhere,"
"Where?" Fatima asked suspiciously.
"How about you just trust me?"
"Whatever," she said, rolling her eyes.
Zac looked at her and asked, "You alright?"
She looked over at him, pushing her shoulder-length curls from her face.
