A Morning Walk

You woke up with the sun shining through your blinds. You sigh as you knew it was time to get up from your comfy bed and start the day even if you didn't really want to. Letting out a yawn you sit up in your bed and rub your eyes as they start to adjust to the morning light. You stand up and let out a big stretch with another small yawn. Putting on your slippers you start heading to your kitchen to make a cup of coffee ((if you don't like coffee then you get hot coco)). As you start making your nice hot drink you hear a faint knock at your door and you wonder who it could be.

“One moment! Be right there!” As you finish up making your drink you start heading to the door taking a sip and burning your mouth a bit. You open the door and you're surprised to see wally there “Oh why good morning wally!” you looked down at wally with a smile. were just a bit taller than wally but not too to the point he was breaking his neck to look at you. wally gives a gentle smile back
“Good morning neighbor! May I come in?” Wally asked, his smile as bright as ever, how could you ever say no. You move aside as a gesture that he may come in. as he walks in you shut the door behind him and lead him to the kitchen taking another sip of your coffee/hots coco.

“Can I get you anything? Something to eat or some coffee?” you ask with a smile as you lean against the counter and watch as Wally sits at the table. “A coffee would be lovely!” Wally bounced a bit when he talked. It made you giggle a bit as you nodded. While making his coffee you couldn't help but ask “So what brings you to my house friend?” you continue to make his coffee, your back turned to him as you asked. “Why can't I stop by and say hello to my favorite neighbor?” he spoke with a small giggle at the end. ‘Favorite? His words couldn't help but make you blush just a bit but you shake it off as you finish up his coffee and hand it to him.

He nodded as to signify a ‘thank you’ as you smiled and sat across from him “Aww.. I'm your favorite? I'm honored..!” You let out a little giggle as you set your drink down on the table. “If you’d like, all I have to do is get ready real quick and I'd love to go out for a walk!” You could see wally's smile grow a bit more “That be lovely!” he spoke happily before taking a sip of his coffee. His response made you smile maybe blush a bit too but you ignored that part you were always happy to hang out with wally.

"Goodie! Just give me a few minutes..I'll try not to take long..!" You spoke soft now with a small bounce of your own. You finish your last drink of coffee/hot coco before standing up and putting it into the sink "I'll just be a few moments!" You walk to your room. With a smile you quickly try and find a nice outfit. It was a bit chilly outside so you grab something that could keep you warm incase you get too cold. As you start to finish getting ready, you couldn't help but think more and more about Wally. He's been your best friend for a while and you know him like the back of your hand and vice versa with him.

But something felt different the feelings you had for him as a friend felt different, stronger you decided to ignore it as you finished tying your shoe. You walked out of your bedroom and back into the kitchen. “Ready?” you heard him ask as soon as you step into the kitchen “Yup!” you see him stand up as he now turns to face you. “Oh my, my you look lovely!” he smiles, his words sounding genuine, you let out a little a small chuckle, his words once again causing you to blush a bit. “Shall we Get going then?” you ask as you start heading towards the door.

With a smile he nods and walks with you as you open the door and give him a ‘After you’ kinda look picking it up he walks out the door and you follow, shutting the door behind you. You both start walking down your yard as you start chit chatting about random stuff. You were happy, you felt safe, you knew this was gonna be a lovely walk.
