One year later~
"Blake, honey? I'm home!" I called out across the foyer as I kicked the door shut with my heel. I received no answer at first until I reached the first step leading up the stairs.
"Hey babe? Uhhh, I'll be down in a minute, okay?" He quickly responded, sounding anxious. "What's the rush babe? You hiding your side chick from me again?" I giggled, and he loudly chuckled from the top of the stairs. "You already know it baby." Blake winked down at me, playing along with my joke, and I smiled up at him.
I could never grow tired of coming home to this every night.
"I was just letting my pops and my momma know that I'll be there tomorrow morning to pick them up. God I miss them so much." He rubbed his face and leaned forward on the stair railing.
He sighed happily; smiling as he leaned against the rail. He propped his hand up to support his chin while he continued to stare down at me. "And I missed you so much too baby," he huffed once more and began walking down the steps. "I hate your job." He spoke, now face to face with me while he placed both of his hands on my cheeks. "I could say the same about yours." I grinned up at him.
God damn, he's so beautiful. How did I ever get so lucky?
Oh yeah, I remember exactly how.
That game. That damn game.
Ever since that night, Blake and I have been together. I honestly couldn't be more happier.
The day after that game, he called me the next morning for breakfast because Doc cancelled practice and by God am I glad that he did. Blake and I talked on and on for hours in that cafe up until we eventually decided to stay there for lunch too. We talked about almost anything; ranging from his past to mine, his family along with my family, and just any, yet every basic thing.
I remember that day like it was yesterday.
After lunch, he took me to the pier, and we walked around all day; getting occasional looks from fans, and the paparazzi snapping pictures of us every ten minutes or so. I remember he took me to ride the go-carts, and we raced each other; I of course beat him. He later on won me a gigantic monkey that was at least twice my size in a shooting contest. Not to mention we ate the carnival food for dinner, and he "dropped" his ice cream and it just so happened to land all over my blouse.
He convinced me that I was dirty, and he could clean me up at his place since it was conveniently closer than mine. I still believe to this day that it was just a way to get me back to his place; although, he tells me otherwise. The last and final thing I remember from that night is him getting me into his bed once again.
Only that time we didn't just fuck.
We took it slow. You could call it 'love'; something I have never experienced, nor felt in my entire life. I know it sounds all cliché and all, but from that day forward, I knew that he was the one.
"Lisa? Hello? Earth to Lisa!" Blake was shaking me violently and abruptly waving his hands in my face. I took a deep breath and rubbed my eyes while Blake calmed down. "God I thought I lost you for a minute." He playfully placed a hand over his heart and took a deep breath.
"Oh shut up, I'm fine. I was just thinking.." I trailed off and looked away from him. Blake grabbed my face and repositioned himself to look into my eyes.
"About what sweetheart?" He squished his eyebrows together and brushed his thumb against my cheek.
"Just the first day we met and then the following day after that." I bit my lip and smiled back up at him. "Oh, I see." His cheeks began to flush, and I bit back a goofy smile closely followed with a throaty giggle.
