Cat Got Your Tongue

Beep... beep... beep....

Hearing my alarm clock beeping early in the morning... 

"Ahhhhrrrggggg" screaming my heads off asking myself why I even set my alarm clock. I guess I habitually did it and not thinking that today is Sunday. 

'That is just called life'.  I got out of my bed thinking who was that? I guess my mind is playing tricks on me again. It's like my mind has a persona of its own and its talking to me.

 I don't really want to address it or tell my father about it. I've seen it on TV that it's a mental condition wherein they called it Mutiple personalities or bipolar. I mean who would want to admit that I'm Bipolar?

 Life is already hard as it is and having such..... would make life harder. 

'No, you're not Bipolar'... " yeah whatever... shut up mind".. as I walked to my bathroom and do my business there getting ready to head to the groceries this morning.

I head downstairs and I could already smell the aroma of coffee. I love drinking coffee in the morning.

"Good morning, Kitty Katt" greeting me as I enter the kitchen. 

" Good morning dad" pouring myself some coffee in the mug. " What are you reading?" I ask as I've noticed that he is seriously reading the newspaper.

"Oh, some local news... it seems like there is a lot of big animal sighting in the area. I just want to know what's going on the surrounding areas so we could be much prepared".  sipping his coffee.

"We are not in Chicago anymore dad, I bet that the crime rate here is really low." pushing the chair and seating down next to him.

" There is no harm to know your surroundings and it makes you more prepared to handle situations" he got up and put the mug on the sink " you ready to get some groceries?" my dad asked.

" Yeah, let me finish this coffee and I'll be right with you". sipping my coffee fast so I could get ready.

" Let, me get the keys in my room and you can wait outside by the car". heading upstairs to his room.

I walk outside the door and to the car waiting for my dad to get out. I have noticed that its quiet. Some neighbors are looking towards my direction like they are curious of who I am. Our house is not really that close to each other, but you can definitely see some children playing around.

"Ready?" dad said while closing the house door.

I look at him and nod, he clicked the car keys to open the doors. We got into our rental car and head to the Town Food Store.

 In a few weeks my dad's car will be here, and we have to send back this rental car. As we pull over to the parking lot, I have noticed that the towns plaza is not that big. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as we could get our daily things like groceries. 

We got out of our car and head to the grocery aisle. I talk to my dad and tell him I will get some of my personal necessities. So, we went our separate ways and get on the task.

I was looking at some clothes in the small clothing area when I hear a group of teenagers talking and laughing. When suddenly one of the guy bumps into me and he almost fell on the ground in the process. you might ask why not me falling down? well, training make you stronger and flexible. 

 Before he bumps me, I move my body slightly and catch him instead. Though he is quite heavy but I could hold him with ease.  He looked unto me with his hands on his chest like a damsel in distress.  He was shocked to the fact that I could hold him firmly. I lean into his face close to his ears teasing him in the process.

" Cat got your tongue?" smirking, looking at his reaction. It seems like the rest of his group was silent and dumbfounded of what is happening. He immediately pushes me and got up straight showing that he is a strong man. I keep my mouth tight shut before I could laugh my head off.

He seems to get out of trance... " I'm so sorry" the guy that bump me said. "I'm Gabe by the way"... extending his hand for a handshake. " Catarina" shaking his hand with a smile on my face. I'm not really into making friends but hey we are in a new town might as well get to know this hunky bunch!
