She seems different

Heading out to the house to get some groceries with my mother and some friends. My mom is the pack doctor and I am the Gamma warrior of the pack.

 Where's my dad you may ask? He died in the battle with rouges few years ago, and because of that I made sure I am always there for my mom. 

You see once your mate died it is hard for the other half to stay active or even socialized. For they will leave into depression and soon after their wolf will not have any reason to live and follow their mate to the other world. I don't want my mother to leave me, call me mommy's boy, I don't care she only one I have.

 Though my mother keeps on telling me that my affection will soon be focus on my mate. But I doubt that it will be anytime soon. I just hope that my mate will understand that I have to keep an eye to my mother.

My mother Anabeth, soon to be Beta Carson, pack warriors Radge, Keith and I are now heading to the groceries. I will help my mother with chores and somethings that needs to be done inside the house. Though I dont live in our house no more since I am now residing at the pack house.

" Alright boys" my mom said since she's the one driving, saying that she s the adult and we are the kids even though we are much bigger than her.

"okay, before you all go, I want you to know that Ill be in the produce and meat section. I know you boy's love to roam around the area. But please be back here in 2 hours or so ok? or mind link me alright?" my mom said.

" yes ma'am" all of us said in unison.

we got out of the car and head straight to the man's clothing areas. talking and laughing about pack stuff when I suddenly bumped into someone. 

Though my reflexes are unto par, but this girl is much faster than me? I know the food town where mix with humans and werewolf but this girl who is holding me close like a girl about to fall on the ground. Is more flexible than me?... she seems different and I can't put my finger on it. She smells of a human and of something else?

" Cat got your tongue?" smirking, looking at my reaction. I'm in deep thoughts thinking what could she be? When I regain my composure, I immediately pushes her and stood up straight.

 " I'm so sorry" I said. "I'm Gabe by the way"... extending my hand. " Catarina" looking at me in the eyes and shaking my hands. I was still holding to her hand when Carson  clear his throat.

"oh, and this is Carson, Radge, Keith these are my close friends"  pointing at them one by one. 

"Hi" she said shyly with the small smile on her face.

" Are you new in town?" Carson Ask. He just cant stop him self of knowing everybody here in town. I guess thats the reason why he is the Beta of the pack. He gather intellegence and support our soon to be Aplha in managing the pack.

"yes, my dad and I just came yesterday".  she said while putting the clotes back in the rack.

" I should keep going for sure my dad is looking for me" dismissing herself as if she doesn't really know how to communicate or have friendly communication.

"Yeah, sure hope to see you around" I wave goodbye to her and immediately Radge put his arm around my shoulder and draw me near to him.

"Dude, what was that for?" ask me about how I acted.

"yeah dude, you where like a statue, is she your mate?" Keith ask.

" oh no, no... I just felt like she is somehow different?" me saying it in a confused manner.

" what do you mean different?' Carson ask now more on aserious tone.

" I dont know, my wolf is kinda friendly towards her, like i feel like she's a long lost sister? or a sister  from a differrent mother? I dont know". shrugging it off as we walked and now looking for my mother.
