Prologue

It was a normal average day for a guy at home. Just doing nothing except watching TV.

Guy: Man, it feels so nice to not have to work for a whole month. Thanks to my boss giving me a whole month off for being so hardworking and productive. I bet my coworkers are envious of me. Probably gonna come for me lol. Anyways, I'm gonna be watching an anime that I love. And that is Kemono Friends. Remember when my close friend recommended it to me.

Flashback

Friend: Hey dude! Long time no see!

Guy: Yeah. I last saw you before you went to college. How have you been?

Friend: Very good! I'm almost close to graduating at the end of this year so that's some good news!

Guy: I see. Time really does fly by so fast, huh?

Friend: You bet.

Guy: And you're currently on holidays?

Friend: Yup! It's the last before the finals come up so I have to make the most of it while I still can.

Guy: And how did that go?

Friend: Well, I've been meaning to catch up on some animes that I neglected in the past.

Guy: I see. Any favorites?

Friend: I can't choose. They're all good! Well.... there is one that caught my eye recently.

Guy: Really? What's the name?

Friend: Kemono Friends.

Guy: Kemono Friends? Never heard of it.

Friend: Yeah, it's not as popular as other animes but I decided to give it a watch.

Guy: And?

Friend: Let's just say that.... it was an.... interesting experience. And educational too.

Guy: Educational? How so?

Friend: Well, to briefly summarize it....

After Friend explains to Guy

Friend: And that's it.

Guy: *silence* Ok. Just to make sure I get this right, this anime is about a human girl that wakes up in a savannah with no memory of herself and encounters a serval cat but as a human. And they both quickly get along and the serval cat girl decides to name the amnesiac human girl "Kaban" and guides her to the library so that she can learn what kind of animal she is, and along the way, meet many different kinds of animal girls who have problems that "Kaban" help to solve.

Friend: Yup. That's a good summary.

Guy: And there are these blue one-eyed blobs known as "Ceruleans" who attack these animal girls and they must destroy a crystal to burst these blobs.

Friend: Yup. And they come in various shapes and sizes.

Guy: And the ending is where "Kaban" leaves to go find other humans like us.

Friend: Correct. And that was where the first season ends.

Guy: Cool. And the second season?

Friend: .....

Guy: Dude?

Friend: It wasn't that bad but it wasn't as enjoyable as the first season.

Guy: Is that so? Why is that?

Friend: Well, I did some research and found out that the director for Season 1 was unexplainably fired. That's why the second season didn't feel like the first. It lacked the humor and quality but most importantly, the characters just didn't feel right to me. If you want, you can watch it yourself cuz these are just my opinions.

Guy: I'll think about it. Thanks.

Friend: No prob. Anyways, I must get going now. My family's waiting for me.

Guy: Alright then. Good luck in your final exams!

Friend: Thanks!

End of flashback

Guy: You know. Looking back, I'm glad that he recommended it to me cuz I really enjoyed it. I should probably stop talking to myself now and go to bed.

It was indeed late into the night as the clock had struck 11. Guy went to go brush his teeth and went to bed. What he won't be expecting though is where he will wake up tomorrow and what awaits him.

Hello. Here's the prologue to my new book. Sorry if this already isn't interesting to you guys. Like I said in my "Summary" chapter, I'm merely doing this for fun. If you hate it or find it boring, that's fine. I'm not forcing you to read it. But for those who still stick around, I appreciate it. Stay tuned for the next chapter.
