3rd person POV:

Chloe's week was horrible, to say the least. She couldn't quite explain it, but everything from work, to Dan, to Trixie was just so overwhelming.

And surprise surprise, her day started off just the same as the past 6. She didn't fall asleep until 2am and then had to wake up at 4am to get ready for work.

She woke up in a bad mood, so every single thing just made her day 10× worse. From putting her leg in the wrong pant leg to spilling a bit of coffee on her counter, she felt like bursting into tears. But, she didn't.

After what felt like forever she looked at the clock, 7:00am. I should go wake up Trix... She walked into her room and patted her arm, "Trixie, time to wake up." Trixie slowly opened her eyes and yawned.

"Get yourself ready, your going to your dad's today!" She said, forcing a smile on her face.

Trixie smiled her toothless grin and hopped out of bed, running to her closet. Chloe smiled and walked out of the room, going into the kitchen to make breakfast for the two of them.

Everything then felt like a blur, Dan picked up Trixie, she went to the precinct then after getting a call, went to the crime scene; which brings us to the present.

The case was located at a small house in south LA, a few miles from the precinct. She looked over the crime scene, getting distracted in her thoughts when she felt a tap on her shoulder.

"Detective? Are you alright? You seem very distracted." It was Lucifer. She nodded, "Sorry, just thinking." He seemed skeptical at first but didn't say anything.

"So, what lovely murder have we got here?" He said, gesturing to the body on the ground. Right, she forgot about that. "This is Madeline Whithhears, a 15-year-old girl. Was found this morning at 8:29 but Ella suspects she died earlier this morning."

Lucifer nodded, just then Ella popped up from the body. "And on that note, I'll fill you in on what I've found out!" She said cheerily, "okay so, she died of a gunshot wound to the head, and I'm guessing at roughly around 3-5:40ish this morning. Now here's the interesting part," she said walking over to the body again.

"It was set up as a suicide, gun in hand, body in that supposed position. But from looking around, it doesn't look like that from all the evidence. See, there is no suicide note. We've searched for one top to bottom in this house, asked whitenesses but nothing." She said with a shrug.

Chloe nodded, looking down at the girl's face. She had a small smile on her face, and tear-stained, soulless eyes. She shuddered but continued to look at the body from top to bottom. Her eyes finally landed on the gun, it looked... Strange.

"Has anyone touched the murder weapon?" She asked curiously. "No, I don't think so..." Ella replied, eyeing her with curiosity. "Once you finish with those pictures make sure to take it back to the lad to run it for fingerprints. And don't miss any cracks and crevices, search it for anything." She said sternly, Ella nodded aggressively and went back to what she was doing.
