It's your second year at Hogwarts, and for some reason, the barrier to platform nine and three quarters won't open. Ron suggests taking the flying Ford Anglia, and you manage to reach Hogwarts. Unfortunately, Ron's wand broke in the process and the two of you are in trouble.
When you go to the Great Hall, at the Gryffindor table, you see a girl — by the look of her, a first-year — with long, flaming red hair, deep brown eyes, and a fierce look on her face. The second you see her, you have an instant crush on her.
"Who's that?," you whisper to Ron. He says "Oh. That's my sister, Ginny." All of a sudden, you realise even if she starts to like you, Ron wouldn't let you date her. He'd get super mad, and probably end his friendship with you.
A couple of weeks later, Mrs Norris, Filch's cat is found Petrified. You're really surprised, as according to Dumbledore, this happened fifty years ago. The next day, Filch accuses you of having something to do with this, and Ginny stands up for you. You feel elated, as that's nice of her.
Soon enough, everyone finds out that the Chamber of Secrets has been opened once again, and that all Muggle-borns are being attacked. You worry a little, as your friend, Hermione, is a Muggle-born, so she could be a victim.
Your crush on Ginny keeps developing, day by day. Valentine's Day approaches and she writes a super-romantic, cute poem for you. Malfoy bullies you, saying that Ginny's your girlfriend, and you feel annoyed, but hope that she actually becomes your girlfriend.
Months later (to be exact, three to four months), you find out that Ginny was taken into the Chamber of Secrets itself, and you and Ron make a plan to rescue her. You volunteer to go inside the Chamber to get her out of there, along with Harry.
Eventually, she wakes up and you manage to rescue her. The Basilisk venom nearly penetrates you, but thanks to Fawkes, you were cured. Ginny runs up to you and kisses her. You stare in awe and joy, but kiss her back. This is your dream, after all.
The two of you get out of the Chamber, and continue where you left off. Ron eventually gives in and allows you and Ginny to date each other.
