Letting you go!

Virat doesn't dare to ask anything else to Sai once she asks him that if he could move on then why can't she. He was completely silenced by that question and quietly goes out of the house. Sai sadly looked on.

Outside, Virat walks on the road lost in thoughts on what Sai just said, "If 7 years back you could move on then why can't I?" Virat reminisces his marriage with Pakhi on how he had married her only to adopt Vinayak. How he had lived the past seven years of marriage with no love and how he longed for Sai all throughout those 7 years. As he keeps pondering on those facts, he hits on a stone and falls down which is when his alter-ego appears and says, "Tsk-tsk, Virat Chavan, the deputy commissioner of Nagpur, how much more will you fall?" Virat asks him, "What do you mean?" The alter ego, "Oh you know what I mean...I'm talking about what Sai just said, wasn't she right? If you could move on seven years ago then what is wrong if she moves on now?" Virat, "7 years ago I married Pakhi only to get Vinayak's custody. I was never able to truly move on with Pakhi because I have always only loved Sai." The alter ego, "So now you want Sai and Pakhi to bear the brunt of that wrong decision which you made seven years ago?" Virat crying, "No I don't. I just want to rectify my mistake and lead a new life with Sai and my kids." The alter ego, "Aren't you being selfish DCP Virat Chavan?" Virat, "Selfish? If I can't give the happiness of a marriage to Pakhi then what is the point in staying in that marriage?" The alter ego, "Then what about Sai, will you forcefully try to be in her life even if she doesn't want you to? Don't you think she has the right to move on after all that happened to her?" Virat gets thinking. The alter ego goes near Virat stands face to face with him and says, "Free Sai from all the binds you have set on her and let her live her life. Let her live her life...let her live her life." The alter ego keeps repeating the words "Let her live her life". Virat tries to shut his ears to stop hearing them when finally the alter ego disappears. After the alter ego disappears, Virat opens his ears and says, "Fine if Sai wants to move on in her life then I will not stop her. I will free her and LET HER GO!!!"

Late night, Chavan Nivas

All had gone to sleep when Virat returned home. Virat quietly made his way upstairs to the kids' room and opens the door. He smiles seeing his sleeping children and goes to sit next to them. He kisses on their foreheads and talks to them who are fast asleep, "I'm sorry my babies, Baba couldn't keep the promise that he had given you...I couldn't bring back your Aai to you." He cries bitterly catching their hands while saying repeatedly that he couldn't keep his promise and unknowingly falls asleep besides them.

Morning

Vinayak gets up first and puts on his spectacles. He then turns to wake up Savi when he sees Virat sleeping on their bed. He wakes up both Savi and Virat and asks Virat, "Baba you slept here yesterday?" Virat yawns, gets up and says, "Yes baada, I came to meet you both yesterday night and seeing you both sleep peacefully, I too dozed off unknowingly besides you." Savi asks, "But why had you come to meet us Baba?" Virat reminisces the events of the previous day. He sighs and tells his children, "I want to inform you both something very important but you both first promise me that you will not speak or behave rashly with your Aai after listening to what I say." Vinayak and Savi look at each other confused reflecting upon what Virat wanted to inform them and tells him, "Okay baba, we promise that we will not misbehave with Aai." Virat takes a deep long breath and says, "Your Aai has decided to marry Dr. Satya." Both Savi and Vinayak were shocked to hear, they exclaim, "What??" Vinayak, "But Baba how can Aai do that? Then what about us? Will she leave us?" Savi, "If Aai marries Doctor Uncle then I will be forever katti with Aai." Virat tries to calm his children, "Baada, baada listen your Aai is not going anywhere away from you. She just wants to...." (in his mind he thinks go away from me). Vinayak asks, "What Baba?" Virat coming out of his thoughts says, "Listen both of you, your Aai is a strong and independent woman and she has all the rights to take the decisions of her life and you both shouldn't be a barrier to her decisions instead you both should become her support system and strength in her decisions." Vinayak and Savi together in wails, "But will we lose our Aai, baba?" Virat instantly hugs them and says, "Shh...shhh don't say like that. Nothing like that will ever happen." Virat says in his mind, "I couldn't fulfill the promise to bring back your Aai to you but now I promise that your Aai will never be taken away from you. This time I will go to any extent to fulfill my promise to my children." Just as they were still talking, Pakhi comes there and asks the children, "Aren't you both getting late for school." Vinayak and Savi detach themselves from Virat's bosom and wipe their tears. Virat signs them to go and get ready for school. Vinayak and Savi leave. After Vinayak and Savi leave, Pakhi asks Virat, "You made the kids understand about Sai's decision but did you yourself understand it?" Virat angrily glowered at her.

Weeks passed and Sai and Satya's marriage preparations began with Sai and Satya performing all the wedding rituals.

Before the Haldi ceremony, Ambe Bai Adhikari sends a mehendi artist to adorn the hands of her would-be-daughter-in-law with beautiful henna designs. The artist does her work and leaves a space in the middle of the design to fill it with the groom's name. The artist is about to fill Satya's name in the space when someone calls her. The artist asks Sai to wait for a few minutes and goes. After the artist leaves, Sai looks at her mehendi design and remembers her second marriage with Virat. A smile passes through her face. Just then Virat asks her, "Kaya prakarna ahe? Tu khupa hasata ahesa?" (What is the matter? You are smiling a lot?) In reality Virat was not there, Sai was just imagining him. Sai angrily glares at Virat and calls him, "Khadoos Jasoos" Virat shows a grumpy face and says, "Why is Mirchi always so theeki when I'm around?" Sai tells him, "Because you always spoil my mood!!" Virat, "Oh really? But weren't you smiling right now thinking about me?" Sai, "No I was not smiling thinking about you but rather looking at my beautiful mehendi design." Virat, "You have applied mehendi? Let me see." He looks at her hands and exclaims, "Beautiful!! But why is this space empty?" He points towards the space where the groom's name was to be written. Sai says, "It's for writing the husband's name." Virat, "That means for writing my name right?" Sai angrily, "Why would I write your name?" Virat, "Because I have been the only man in your life till now?" Sai gets looking blushingly into Virat eyes when he says those words. As Sai kept gazing at Virat, he takes the mehendi cone and slowly writes his name in the space for groom's name. Sai's imagination ends and Sai is shown to be writing Virat's name in the mehendi. The mehendi artist comes and asks her, "Ma'am did you yourself write the groom's name in your mehendi. It is when Sai came to her senses. She looked at her mehendi and was shocked to realize that she had written Virat's name onto her palm. She goes to rub and remove Virat's name but by that time the mehendi had dried up and darkened on her palm leaving a dark impression of Virat's name on her palm. She wonders, "Bappa, what are you doing? Why is Virat's name written again in my destiny when I'm going to be bound towards Sathya?" Ghum hai kisikey pyaar mein dramatic tune plays in the background.

Next day, Haldi Ceremony

All the women gather in Sai's house to perform the ritual of Halad Chadavane. As they were about to start, Virat comes there with his children. Sai was delighted to meet her children and gets up quickly and hits a woman carrying haldi. The haldi bowl on the woman's hand trips and the haldi splashes onto Virat's shirt and face. Sai apologizes for being careless and is about to wipe the haldi off from Virat's face with her hands when Ambe Bai Adhikari stops her catching her hand saying, "On the occasion of haldi, it is the haldi applied on the groom which is to be applied to the bride. So it will be better if you don't soil your hands with the haldi from another man. Sai and Virat sadly gazed at each other. Ghum hai kisikey pyaar mein sad tune plays in the background. Ambe Bai makes Sai have her seat and is about to start the ritual when the children tell her, "Since she is our Aai we will start the ritual." Then they pull Virat with them saying, "Baba, come let us apply haldi on Aai." Virat tries to stop his children but they act stubborn and pull him more strongly. Finally, Virat loses his balance and falls onto Sai. The Haldi on his face gets smeared onto Sai's face.
