'Why do I even have to go to school? It's not like I actually learn anything from that child's prison.'
A young boy by the name of Thaddeus Ward thought to himself, while lazily making his way to school. Head bend down facing the concrete floor with his hands dug into his grey school trousers and his shoulders hunched forward.
Whilst walking he was kicking the pebbles on the ground with his pear green eyes watching his feet take each step. His flaming red bangs dangling in his face somewhat covering his eyes. He was a light skinned 13 year old boy who had an athletic slim build body. Even though he showed no interested in any kind of sports or even working out he barely gained weight. His father's genes surely did pull through and in this case it was a good thing. He had this facial expression that he wore each day making him look like he was dying on the inside. However he had a very good reason for that.Thaddeus had this great hatred for school and attending it didn't make him feel any better nor did it make the situation that he was in any better. He hated how the students at his school could bully each other and make each other feel like they didn't belong. Like they didn't have any rights or just made the school a dreadful and horrible place to be. And what made him feel even more cross was that a teacher was suddenly blind when someone was being bullied but God forbid a student is wearing a hoodie and not their proper school uniform.
The day itself was gloomy and depressing and it just made Thaddeus feel way worse than he originally felt. It was as if mother nature was out to make his life a disaster.
Whilst walking to school and escaping the reality he was currently in, he continued on thinking about how horrible school life was and vivid memories kept popping up into his head. Memories that he'd wish his mind would stop repeating like a broken record.
"Whaddup carrot top"
"Hey there lasie"
"Did your parents not want a daughter?"
"You're such a disappointment! *laughs* You're parents wanted a boy but got a ugly daughter instead."
"Oh my god she looks like a boy."
"What are you?"
"You're such a freak H-"
Thaddeus snapped out of his trance before the name could be brought up. His dead name. Tears went down his rosy cheeks as he stood still frozen in his tracks. It was as if he could hear them. As if they were there at that very moment saying all those mean things to him.
He tilted his head back, bit down on his bottom lip stopping himself from crying aloud. A lump formed in his throat as he cluched his hands into fists. For years now Thaddeus was teased about being different and it worsened when he came out as a transgender male and for all that time he would bottle up the emotions of hatred, sadness and despair within his heart. Thaddeus would wish on a lucky star or pray to God to just kill him, to end his suffering and torment he endured from the most horrid creation God has created. Humanity.
For a moment Thaddeus stood there in silence taking in deep breaths. His chest heaving up and down and hitched here and there with his heart burning from the emotions that was coursing through his body. His long red lashes were wet from the tears that formed in his eyes and went down the side of his face.
After composing himself he kept on walking and not after long he looked up to make eye contact with the sign that led you to hell. He had arrived at what should be a prison and not an education centre. The school was surrounded by a tall basil green gate and the school building itself was big with a few small classes outside the building in the back... Anthropo High School.
Anthropo High School and what should be the best school in the country is actually the worst school one could send your child to. The school is located in Umbra a large city in the country of Eisheth on the rather small continent of Agrona. To most people and the brochures that you find it is always said that Umbra is one the most beautiful and nicest cities in the country and right around the continent. Which according to Thaddeus was absolutely false. Do not get him wrong though. Umbra was indeed an extremely beautiful place and the forests, mountains, anything that wasn't human was without doubt absolutely breathtaking however living in Umbra wasn't nice at all. The people in the city were absolutely horrible and would easily be compared to the devils that roam around in the underworld.
