What if there was guide on falling in love?
If there was, Nyla Delaney would think it was pure fiction anyway. Right now, she has bigger problems in her own reality. Like figuring out how to navigate being a new author with a New York Times Bestseller, and explaining to the world a part of her mind she never thought would be on full display. Or even her constant writers block, and feeling like her one true love with words wants to leave her for good. Or... maybe it's the kind yet intimidating stranger and fellow lover of literature she just happens to keeps running into these days.

Jabari Jordan is a rising star in the book world, a famous poet who wears his vulnerability on his sleeve, much like the pages in his book. Nyla never would have guessed that someone with talks of a Pulitzer Prize nomination would ever be in her orbit, or even care about her little novella. But Jabari isn't all that he seems. And Nyla soon realizes they share a similar angst; and that his own relationship with writing is just as complicated as hers.

If this were a love story, Nyla would've thought her and Jabari were destined to be together. But this isn't a love story, it's the real world. And sometimes things in real life just aren't plotted out that way. But even like Nyla's favorite fluffy romance novels; the real world can sometimes surprise you and write in unexpected twists and turns.
