It's fast, furious and loud,

There's hustling and bustling.

There's power and proud,

There's a jostle, a tussle.

There's weakness to muscle

In the Mumbai crowd.

There's honking and beeping

There are words and bleeping

In the Mumbai crowd.

On best buses, on local trains,

In taxies and cabs, also on planes,

Travels the Mumbai crowd.

On roads, on pavements,

In high-rise, in basements,

Dwells the Mumbai crowd.

Constant wakeful walk,

Or magical sleepy walk,

But walks, the Mumbai crowd.

Cool winters and summers' noons,

Or be it knee-deep monsoons,

Thrives the Mumbai crowd.

There's good time and bad time

But absolutely no bed time

For the Mumbai crowd. 

Some worry, some fear,

Some hope, some cheer,

Expresses the Mumbai crowd.

It's real, it's illusion

It's confident, it's confusion

Appears the Mumbai crowd.

It starts not to end

It rises, not to bend
