There was a loud crash from the living room. The sudden noise caused James to jolt up, grabbing his wand, walking out of the room into the hallway. His mother meeting him in the hallway,
"Are you alright dear?" She asked stepping close to her son, her wand lit. James looked over nodding,
"Yeah, are you alright?" He asked stepping close to his mother. She nodded as she lit her wand to the stairs,
"Your father was down in his study, he probably heard the noise and is taking care of it, let's go and see shall we?" He asked stepping ti the stairs, James following close behind her.
When they arrived at the bottom of the stairs they saw it, Sirius on their  living room floor. He looked like Sirius, yet not, he was shaking, crying his hair was cut. Lines malted the back of his legs, scars. James looked from behind his mother, Sirius hadn't noticed them yet, Flewmont just held him, keeping him close.
James had known how they treated him, he should've expected such a thing, he didn't expect this. James was the one Sirius told it all to, he'd tell everyone he was fine, keep up his bright attitude, but to James. When James and Sirius were alone, Sirius finally broke, he could hide it all, from everyone, everyone expect James.
The black haired boy didn't know if he should move, a look from his mother was to say,
'Go on.' Then James walked down the stairs, giving his father a nod, then kneeling down to Sirius not daring to touch him, if it hadn't been for his mum he would've been stood at the stairs still. Fleamont sighs, looking at James,
"We'll get the guest room set up, your mum will bring him up, let's rest for the night. We've all had a long night.." Fleamont  says setting Sirius in James's mum's arms, she held him. Keeping him close, keeping him safe.
"James, come and help me with bedding will you?" His father asked, James stood up, nodding following his father up the stairs. The walk up was silent, no words being spoke x once they were alone James finally spoke ,
"Will he be okay?" He asked setting the blanket aside. His father looks up from the bedding,
"He will now, don't worry. He won't be going back, ever." Fleamont says as he made the bed with the help of James. His son only nodddd as he helped with the bed,
"We'll get a clear story in the morning, I promise. Now all we can do is rest, comfy him-" his father spoke, getting cut off by a pair of arms around him, his shirt feeling damp.
"It's not fair, why?! How could someone do such a thing, it, it always shocks me.. seeing how some treat their children. You and mum have always treated me so well, never done anything of this sort.." James says, tears streaming down his cheeks, his grip tightening. His father's eyes softened, holding his son close,
"We don't know, now let's not be silly, come on. We all need rest.." he says looking at his son, James wiped his eyes,
"Yeah, alright.. good night dad." James spoke, heading back to his room, his door cracked, when he heard his mother taking Sirius to his room he relaxed a bit.
The rest of the night was silent, not even the house elves were making noise, just silent. James hated the silence, it always made things much worse, especially now. James sat up from bed, he didn't sleep much instead pulled out a quill and parchment, beginning his letter to Remus,
Dear Moony, you may not get too many letter from Sirius over break. He's okay, he's safe. He's with me, I promise, you'll all get the full story when we're all together again.
