Paranoia wasn't uncommon in Woodsboro, given its terrifying history. Since the original massacre targeting young teens in 1996, multiple killers have emerged, the most recent being in 2011. Usually, a formula was followed when the four incidents were studied; most were killed for fame or revenge.
Y/n's family wasn't an important target or even thought of until 2011, when her aunt Kirby Reed was victimized by her friends Jill Roberts and Charlie Walker, causing panic in her family. Y/n's mother considered moving out of Woodsboro but couldn't due to a lack of money.
It has been ten years since the last attack of the Ghostface killer, yet there was always a lingering feeling that they would always come back.
