It was a quiet evening of on a quiet town of Rosemary. A small town just near the coast, bustling atmosphere, a cool yet comforting aura present and a delightful little rascal sneaking about. He snuck and creeped on the rooftops above, deftly avoiding any prying eyes and reaching his apartment.
He opened the window leading to his apartment and closed it. Putting his backpack on the nearby table and taking off his bandana that he used to cover his face and prevent people and cameras from identifying him.
Ace: Alright, let's make sure these are all worth it.
Emptying the contents of the backpack, mostly of things that he politely "borrowed" from shops and the occasional midnight trip to the museum. You have no idea how incompetent museum guards are, like seriously, why would you sleep on the job? Anyway, Ace continued to inspect the items until he's eyes landed on the most prized possession that he has ever "borrowed".

The item in question is a beautiful, shining diamond of the purest quality. Birthed from the cavernous depths of the earth, so much pressure, stress and tension has created the most perfect gem in all of existence. But Ace being a street-rat that he is, probably doesn't know that. He just knows that people are going to pay a hefty price for a diamond.
Anyway, this is our hero of this story. Ace Rowe. Your local street kid with a dream and something to prove, nothing special really. Or is there? Que the Vsauce theme...
After inspecting the perplexing gemstone, he took a bath, got in some new clothes and headed out to his local pawnshop. Where he's going to pawn all the items that he stole, whoops I meant "borrowed".
He entered the pawnshop and was greeted by a familiar face. Let's call him Bob. Bob's the owner of the pawnshop. Ace pawned all of the items that he got and was paid a hefty $40,000. Damn, those must be some real good items. But he decided to keep that amazing looking diamond, because why not?
After that he decided to catch some Zs for the night because tomorrow is school. I know, freakin' amazing...
After school, Ace went to the garage below his house, his house is a renovated firehouse by the way, very cool. He opened his garage door and worked on his bike, a motorcycle in the style of a scooter for maximum comfortability when riding. Plus, it looks cool.
It was quite a heated day, so he decided to step in the shower to cool down. After drying himself up, he noticed that the diamond was glowing, well the sun was shining on the diamond on an angle but it looked like it was actually glowing. Usually when the sun hits something reflective, it would retain the orange color of the sunlight, but the diamond was subtly glowing with all kinds of different colors.
Ace went closer and grabbed that diamond of inspect and lo and behold, it was indeed glowing. The diamond suddenly flashed a very bright light, similar to that of a flashbang, which prompted Ace to dropping the diamond because he was momentarily blinded.
After recovering from some temporary blindness., Ace picked up the diamond and noticed that it didn't look the same, I mean it's still looks like a diamond but it didn't have that grand radiance like it did back then. It just looked like a regular diamond, nothing wrong with that though.
