I rode along the sidewalk on my skateboard with my music blasting like usual. The cute boys we had met yesterday had told us to meet them at the skatepark and I was on my way over there. My music faded and the calling ringtone sounded.
I managed to stop myself and get my phone out of the pocket of my navy blue ripped skinny jeans. Caller iD read 'Ally'
"Hello?"
"Hey, were turning the corner to the skatepark, we are not going in until you get here, so where are you?!"
"Uh, I'm almost there. I'll be there in about three minutes!"
"Alright, see you then Jennie bear!"
I got back on my board and skated as fast as I could to the entrance of the park. I automatically spotted Ally and Monica standing cluelessly in the front. They aren't used to being here or around so many skaters.
They both would never consider getting on a board because they say that it's too risky. They don't want to injure themselves.Ally specifically doesn't want to get hurt because she's in the cheer team and Monica specifically doesn't want to get hurt because she's in the dance team.
I don't know how they do it. I can never be so enthusiastic and preppy like that. I was more chill, I guess. I'm a musician and an artist. I guess you can say I have talent, my friends and family have told me that I'm good but I don't really like to share my talents with the world.
I can play the guitar, piano, drums, ukulele, flute and even the violin. I also enjoy drawing, painting, and sketching. I bet you can argue that they're all the same but they're not. I am not going to explain all that now though.
Anyways
I got off my board and picked it up. Monica and Ally greeted me with a hug. Ally looked pretty girly, wearing a pastel pink skirt and a white crop top with it. Couldn't lie though, she looked adorable. Monica was wearing black skinny jeans and a plain white shirt covered by a short denim jacket. She completed the look with her favorite red SnapBack.
"Is it just me, or are we all a bit nervous?!" said Ally
"Um we should be okay." I responded calmly to her.
"Hope so, cause I fo sho ain't hell getting on any board!" Said Monica
The three of us made our way inside the park and tried finding the boys we met yesterday. Monica automatically spotted Jason and made sure we noticed as well.
Nathan, Cole, and the two other boys who never introduced themselves to us were all there. There were also more guys with them that we've never even seen before. They were all surrounding a ramp which was close to a rail. They we're each taking turns showing off what they can do.
"Well c'mon you guys!" said Monica, leading the way to the direction of the boys.
Jason and Cole noticed and turned to us when we got there.
"Hey! Glad you guys actually came!" said Cole, smiling at each of us.
"Yeah, you guys came just in time to see Nathan try to do a trick. He's been trying to land this one for a while now, let's see if it'll work out this time" Jason said laughing in between as he spoke.
I managed to push myself up more to the front to see Nathan. More guys from the park had gathered around to see him. Nathan was wearing a nice blue buttoned designed shirt, canvas pants, and black and white vans. He looked a little overdressed for this but I guess it seems to be what a lot of guys do now?
Nathan started off by easily landing a couple ollies. Trying to show off. The boys started booing him as if they all can do better. Nathan chuckled, his cute smile showing.
