Sasori turned in Asahi's arms, and the larger man took the opportunity to pull him close. He managed to avoid the small kiss the other leaned it to give, then put his hands on the bigger man's chest and pushed until there was distance between them.

"Stop it, Asahi"

"What's wrong? I know you miss me, Sasori." He drew the back of his hand across Sasori's cheek.

"What the fuck is wrong with you?"

"This guy is just using you, Sasori. What the fuck do you think a guy who looks like that in the prime of his youth would want with you?"

The accusation hit Sasori like ice water. "What is your problem? I go on one date, and you're acting like a jealous lover."

"I am a jealous lover." He leaned forward again, his hot breath snaking across Sasori's neck. "I miss you."

"You're an idiot, and you fucking see me almost every day."

"Yes, but I miss seeing you." He kissed Sasori neck. "I miss having you wrapped around me. Staring in your eyes as we both come." His hand rubbed against Sasori's bulging erection. "I know you still want me. Why deny it? We had such a good thing."

"Stop it. Just stop," Sasori said breathlessly. He could feel the strangle in his voice. There were times he missed Asahi, but mostly because he'd been lonely for far too long. "Boku's waiting out in the bar for you."

Asahi pounded his fist against the wall behind Sasori head. "I'll let you fuck me. Is that what you want? I'll give it to you. If that'll make you happy, I'll do it."

Sasori shook his head. The angry offer made him sad more than anything else. He'd broken up with Asahi because the man refused to compromise and not just in bed. Their problems had gone deeper than just sex.

"Fuck!" Asahi yelled. He grabbed Sasori's face roughly and kissed him. "Asahi, stop" Sasori managed to say between the kiss.

"I want you, Sasori. So fucking bad." The strong smell of sweet bourbon turned Sasori's stomach.

"No! Get the fuck off me!"

Then, with every bit of strength he could muster, he stomped his foot against the top arch of Asahi's. He staggered back with a howl of pain. What happened next was almost too fast for Sasori to process. Deidara along with two well-built young men, tackled Asahi to the ground. He could hear him yelling as the two guys with Deidara dragged him out of the area.

Sasori slumped against the wall, still dazed and disbelieving. Two years they'd managed to stay friends, no incidents. Why had Asahi gone so crazy? Why tonight of all nights?

Immediately, Deidara was there, stroking his face, looking him over to check for injuries. "Are you okay?" He brushed his thumb against Sasori's cheek. "You're going to have a bit of a shiner tomorrow."

"I'm okay," Sasori said. He felt like his heart was going to explode from his chest.

Deidara led him to the office at the back of the storage area and poured him a glass of vodka. "I'm sorry," he said, handing Sasori the glass. "It's all I have back here."

With a shaky hand, Sasori took the drink and downed it in a quick gulp.

"I went to get my friends, for back up. I kind of wanted to kick his ass for hitting on my date." The left side of his mouth tugged up in a crooked smile.

Sasori gazed up at Deidara. "Jealous?"

"Yeah." Deidara scratched his head, a slow blush of pink forming in his cheeks. He knelt down between Sasori's parted thighs and leaned his elbows on his knees. "If I had known he was going to attack you, I'd have never left. I hope you believe me."

"I don't blame you." Sasori pushed the large bang from Deidara's left eye. "If that's what you're thinking." Sasori captured Deidara's icy gaze. "Why did you invite me on a date?"

"I heard what Asahi said. I'm not after your money, if that's what you think."

"I'm sorry you heard that. His opinion doesn't reflect mine."

Before Deidara could respond, a knock sounded at the door with a muffled, "Hey, it's me."

"Just a minute. I locked us in on the odd chance Asahi might get away from the boys and back here." Deidara got up and unlocked the door. One of the guys who'd taken Asahi out-who also happened to be the guy who'd hit on Deidara at the bar, Sasori noticed with a slight jealous pang -poked his head in the door. "We gave him to his boyfriend. Okay, boss?" Other guy said.

Deidara looked pointedly at Sasori. "Okay?"

Sasori nodded. The knot gripping his stomach eased.

"Yeah, fine. Thanks"

The door closed behind him. Sasori leaned forward and stared at Deidara. "Did he just said boss?"

"Yes. This is my place."

A weight lifted from his chest. A weight he hadn't realized was there until it was gone. "I think I could fall in love with you."
