Again I don't own anything but the plot and since I really don't know how copy write works I also do not own the other Animes referenced and other things that may subjected under Copy write. I hope you enjoy the chapter!

After spending 5 minutes trying to calm myself down and getting weird looks from the people passing by, I was finally able to think somewhat clearly. I took a good look around and collected my thoughts. Ok Krissy, no use panicking just figure out what your next move is going to be. I took a couple deep breaths my mom always told me they helped in stressful situations, I hadn't believed her up to this point. Alright I'm in an anime, obviously duh get it together! Ok, I don't particularly recognize this place and the style is not specifically iconic. I mean it's obviously not Soul Eater or Naruto or anything like that. But then can safely assume it isn't Attack on Titan or Cowboy Bebop because of the time period, but then again, how do I know I'm even here when the anime is taking place!

My thoughts continued like this for a while longer. It appeared that everything I was in contact with had come over with me, my phone, my keys and ear buds and the laptop that I was an early graduation present in it's satchel that I was to lazy to take off when I had gotten home. Even the Death Note book that had fallen into my lap. It was all so weird but I couldn't just sit there so I got up and surveyed the scene.

I decided I would just walk around and try to find something familiar, some clue to where I was. I was in a Japanese city that much was obvious from the signs. Wait! I thought to myself and stopped in the middle of a large crowd of people. I listened to the people around me. They were speaking in Japanese but I understood them, it was strange the words I heard were in the other language but once I they were in my brain they were translated into English. I was pretty sure I was either dreaming or insane at that point and I kept pinching myself which did not help at all.

So I decided to test something out, I walked up to a security guard and asked where the bathroom was. The crazy thing was when I opened my mouth I spoke in Japanese, it was insane I didn't know Japanese, my vocabulary was limited to kawaii and senpai. The guard kindly directed me toward the restroom. I didn't actually go in though, I just kept walking around. I found through my new ability to read in Japanese that the date was August 4, 2004, well I guess that's something, I thought with a sigh.

"Here you go!" said the chipper barista.

I had settled in a coffee shop about a  block away from the train station. I had a bit a cash in my pocket and was given a weird look as I handed it to her but she none the less accepted the American money.

"Thank you," I replied quietly.

Yup, still the shy person around strangers, even in Japanese. I sat down on a table in the corner and pulled out my laptop and used the bag to cover the front so hopefully no one would notice that it was a bit advanced. I went online and to my surprise it was as though I was back in my own time, in my own I don't know, version of reality or something. The amount time that I had been here had passed there but other than that it was though the world had gone on without me. I checked my phone, under the table of course. I don't think an IPhone 5c would be good to be spotted with in 2004. It was the same as my laptop except my contacts were all gone. I called my mom's number but it dropped after the first ring. And if that wasn't enough all my account's on any website were gone, even Tumblr.

At this point I was getting really nervous (and slightly frustrated, I procrastinated hard for my followers) for obvious reasons. Not only was I in a totally new world but for all I knew I had ceased to exist in my old one. I leaned back in my seat and drank my drink and again tried to calm down. My first priority would be to figure out where the heck I was and then go from there. I started listening to the conversations around me. Not in like the intentional eavesdropper way, but you know when your an introvert and it is loud, you can't really avoid it.

"No, he's not cheating on me that's crazy."

"This place is so lame, I mean no Raman, seriously!"

"Shut up Becky! You don't know what your talking about!"

"My mom says Kira might actually be good for the world, teach some of those bad people a lesson."

I nearly fell out of my seat. Did that girl say Kira?

"Don't say that, Kira is a murderer, my dad is working very hard to catch him. There is nothing helpful nor honorable about killing people." said a young brunette.

You go girl, I thought with a smile, if only you knew.

"C'mon, Sayu he's making the world a safer place to live."

I spit out some of my drink at that. Sayu! Light's younger sister! Not only had I confirmed I was in Death Note arguably my favorite Anime, but I was seated 5 feet away from Light Yagami's sister!

I gathered my things as quickly as possible as the girls continued their conversation. I was functioning on impulse at that point but whatever. I needed to seize this opportunity. Of course I could have just followed her home but I had just quickly checked my Death Note book which contains a commentary section that gives important events and their dates. The task force had already moved to the skyscraper that meant Light had already lost his memory, I quickly filed away this information. I stood up and walked over to the table where they were sitting.

"Hey I couldn't help but overhear that your father works for the police." I asked addressing Sayu, resisting the shy person urge to run.

"Yeah, is something wrong?" She replied kindly.

Thank goodness she wasn't totally freaked out be a stranger coming up to her. In addition one who evidently had been listening to her conversation. It made me a bit sad, I mean her brother is a murderer and totally insane and given what the future looked like for her... I ignored all that and attempted to talk and sound believable.

"Yeah I'm here from America looking for my brother, he ran off as a kid and I've been able to track him this far but I'm a bit stuck at the moment."

"Oh wow, of course my dad can totally help you."

"Really! Are you sure it's not too much trouble?"

"Oh no I bet he would be happy to, it's no trouble at all!"

"Wow, thank you so much!"

Who knew I could lie like that? Anyway I not only knew where I was and I had managed to sort of find out where I needed to go.
