Chapter 1: The Search of A Life Time
The Protector of the Gates grips her staff, the melodies from beyond the gates were sorrowful and melancholy. She recognizes the tune, it was a song for rain, most likely to a place where drought occurs the most. For 16 years she had watched over the new Priestess, for 16 years she has heard her song. And for all of these years, she has watched the new Priestess delude herself into thinking what is not true.
She chuckles, unusual with her flat personality. She looks up at the darkness of the ceiling, remembering what happened so long ago. The events that had happened with the last Priestess, and the tragedies that came with it. She touches her black and green mask, how she loathes the accessory.
But it was a price she paid for the mistakes so long ago.
Suddenly her masked glowed a foul black color, she screamed falling to the floor, her staff clanking as it hit the ground. Her head throbbed painfully as she held it with a death grip, she pleaded silently for the pain to stop. The mask continue to glow; each time it grew brighter, the throbbing would get more painful. She shouted, her voice bouncing of the stone walls. No one could hear her. She was in this alone.
Then, it stopped. No more pain, no more glowing, it just...stopped. The protector was as still as a statue, apparently confused of what just happened. She cautiously stood up and grabbed her fallen staff, proceeding to make her rounds. The memories of before have left her, and once again she is but a puppet.

Soleil picked up his fallen pendant and looked at the sky. He sighed and placed it around his neck. He looked over his shoulder and grinned at his mother, chuckling at the worry lines decorating her face. "Stop being so worried about me mother, I'm going to be fine."
Milliana pouted, even though it's been sixteen years since they found the playful child as a baby she still worries for him. "Must you go?" A large hand touched her shoulder, she turned to see her husband. "It's a man's mission to seek out what they must find Milliana." Said Leon.
He gave his son a sad smile and waved him farewell, Milliana sighed after seeing that there was no stopping the boy. "Just be careful okay?" She smiled, watching Soleil's back as he kept walking farther and farther away. The journey would be treacherous, and there was no guarantee he'd find them, but she had faith. After all, she did raise the boy.
Soleil's smile faded into a serious expression as he grabbed the map from his leather bag. He unrolled the parchment and sighed, "I got a long way to go." He stated. The map was blank, it showed no pictures indicating roads, territories, and villages. He placed the map back into his bag and looked ahead at the dirt road. He smiled and stepped forward. What a long journey it will be.
As he walked the memories from the previous days flood into him like a calm stream. He chuckled at how he over reacted then.
His shock, his feelings of betrayal of being lied to, his shouts fueled by anger and frustration; the sight of his foster parents' pained expressions, the tears.....And finally accepting it all and reconciling with the two who raise
Then, the decision.
"Tomorrow I want to go on a journey; I want to find my family." He had said to his parents.
Though it took quite a while to convince his mother to let him travel on his own, but with his father's help his mother finally agreed.
Soleil stops at the entrance of a nearby town, the emptying streets embedded inside the stone walls of the place, and the setting sun at the horizon. Two men in black and red uniforms stood guard outside the gates, their faces monotone as they watch the blonde traveller enter the town.
The bells of the clock tower chime 10 times signaling evening; the time for thieves has begun.

A man with dark blue hair snickers as he throws and catches a small coin pouch, the sound of coins jingling was music to his ears. He walks in the shadows, watching those walking on the streets, seeking his next victim. The man grins mischievously as he spots the newcomer wander in his lovely little town. He follows the young boy with blonde hair, keeping an eye on his actions and calculating the value of what he was carrying.
The blue-haired man catches sight of his pendant, recognizing the pendant to be made of a rare onyx crystal. But there was something else...something that separated the boy from the others in this town.
His eyes showed a sense of purpose, his aura showed a boy driven with determination.
The man smirked, someone interesting came to town.
