Chapter XIII

Third person's pov

Weeks went by and Veronica's suspicions became more and more stronger she is debating whether to hire an investigator but some part of her doesn't agree because it will be too risky given that her father is a well known business man and has a lot of security measurements

But there is this part of her who wants to take risk and to know what is really happening to her parents lalo na pag her parents will act sweet Infront of them and after awhile when they're not around her mom will distance herself from her dad

That is why she's very bothered on what is happening to them  she composed her mind and finally hired an investigator to investigate about her father

She is very curious who is the girl on his father's office kaya pinaimbistigahan din niya Ito she feels like she have seen her

It's been weeks since he last heard about the Investigator he hired then her phone rings and she looks at the number and it was an unknown number so she excuse herself from the SSG officers and went out of the meeting room

She answered the call
"Hello who's this" she asked

"This is Jarred Ramirez the Investigator you hired a week ago ma'am" he said in a low voice

"Oh is there any update regarding on the investigation" Veronica asked

"Yes ma'am marami po akong nalaman regarding sa pinapa imbistiga niyo and I have Sylvia Vergara's background na din po" the investigator told Veronica on the phone

"Is that so then we should meet at lunch time 12:30 sharp outside the church" Veronica told the investigator and ended the call

She really wants to know the truth and she is really curious about the result of the investigation

When the bell rang Veronica went to the church where he and the investigator will meet she's patiently waiting for the investigator he hired

A couple of minutes after she received a message from the investigator saying that her dad's security team notices about them being investigated and maybe by now Greggy knows that someone is investigating him

Earlier that day Greggy's security team notices a man is always following them around more than a week now they are starting to wonder why is someone following them then they came in a conclusion that their boss is being investigated they first confirms it and told Greggy about what they noticed

Greggy is furious when he heard what his security team said he told his security team to catch the one who hired the investigator to investigate on him he is curious why they are investigating him

He came into a conclusion that somebody knows about the affair and is investigating him he came into a conclusion that it is either Imee or Bong Bong who is investigating him and he thought to himself that they won't know anything about the affair

He ordered his security team to do their best para walang lumabas sa mga impormasyon patungkol sa kaniya

But Greggy is late someone already knows about it and it is the investigator Veronica hired

Veronica becomes anxious and worried what if her dad finds out what she's doing she will be in big trouble 'he cannot know he should not know' Veronica thought to himself

A couple of minutes pass a girl that looks older than Veronica went to her and gave her a red envelope
"Ate pinapa abot po ng Tito niyo" the girl said and Veronica thanked her

Veronica then received a message from the investigator that the red envelope that the girl gave her is the envelope where the important files are and the investigator told Veronica that he cannot go to their meeting place because it's too risky Veronica thank him for his work and gave him his payment

Veronica then went to her school because she has afternoon classes to attend to she secured the red envelope on her desk and locked the drawer and including her office door and she is hoping that nothing bad will going to happen

Afternoon came and the school bell rang telling everyone in the school that it is time to go home the teacher dismissed Veronica's class and they went out of the classroom she went straight to her office in the SSG building and checked her office if something is change but luckily everything looks just like before when she locked her office

She went to her desk and message her mom that she's going home late because she has a lot of paperworks to review after informing her mom she starts her paperworks and finished it

It is almost 6pm when she finished her works she decided to call their family driver para magpasundo na because she's already tired

She gets the red envelope from the drawer and put it in her bag carefully she fixed her things and went out of her office and locked it

When their van arrived she instantly get in and told the driver to drive home

She arrived home and is greeted by her mom she asked Veronica if she's okay because she looks tired Veronica told her that it is just the extra paperworks from the SSG her mom told her to take a rest and do not be too hard on herself

Veronica just nods and thank her mom for her advice she went to her room and freshen up before going to eat dinner with her family unsure if her dad will eat with them

She fixed her things and hide the red envelope she didn't have time to meddle with it given that she has a lot of works and is very busy

After she fixed her things she went out of her room and went to the dining room and eat dinner with her brother and mother not knowing where her dad is she didn't bother to ask her mom because she would just say that her dad is busy in the office that is why he can't join them

After their dinner Veronica is too tired to read what is in the envelope so she told herself that she would just check it out tomorrow and she doze off to sleep
