(A/N: This chapter is not canon.)
Y/N was preparing for their first day at the Object Academy. They were hoping to make some new friends, for they were shy and didn't know what was going to happen. "This cute hat should look nice with the pins on my bag." They ate breakfast, said bye to their parents, and went off to school.
Arriving at school, Y/N saw a giant fountain in front of the school entrance. "Wow," they thought. "These people must be rich." In the hallways, they happened to bump into Medal, a fellow student and senior.  "Excuse me," they said. "Oh, I see you're new here. I can help you if you're lost. My name's Medal, what's yours?" Y/N didn't know how to respond. This object in front of them seemed so strong, yet so kind. "Thank you, I'm Y/N. I'd like to know where room 235 is." "Room 235? What a coincidence, I have science class there too." The two of them walked through the halls to room 235. "Here it is. It's 7:55, so we have some extra time before class to have a bit of a chat."
Medal and Y/N sat next to each other. "So, uh, Medal. What kind of things do you like?" "I'm into making music and playing sports, mainly soccer. How about you?" "I like playing the piano, as well as drawing things. Please don't ask what I draw, you don't want to know." "...Okay. Anyway, class is about to start. I'll talk with you at lunch." Y/N took out their notebook and began taking notes.
Throughout the lesson, Y/N just couldn't stop thinking about their new friend. They began doodling them in the margins of their notebook. Medal glanced through their peripherals and saw what was going on. "I see those doodles of yours. It seems you really want to be friends, huh? How about this: meet with me after school on the rooftop."  Y/N was glad to know that they could get to know their acquaintance better.
During lunch, Medal was looking around for Y/N. They spotted them sitting alone, and walked over to them. "So, how's it going?" "It's been fine. I had some trouble getting to science class, but thankfully, someone was willing to show me the way. I didn't even ask them, they just said I looked lost." "You know, this place is really big. A lot of newcomers get lost easily, so you're free to ask someone for help." "Anyway, how was your day?" "It's been decent so far. Some guy thought it was a good idea to mess with my brother and I, so that was an interesting talk." "Wow," Y/N thought. "Medal must be a really cool person. It's good that I'm getting to know them better!"
Later, it was about 3:30 in the afternoon, and Y/N was waiting for Medal to come up. "Sorry I'm late," they said. "The hallways get crowded around dismissal time." Y/N motioned for Medal to sit beside them on the bench. "As a self-introduction of sorts, how about you tell me a bit about yourself?" Y/N didn't know how to respond. "I, uh, guess I'm shy. And also kind, and smart. I'm not too good with descriptions. I'm also into things like art and writing." "I see, you're the introverted creative type. I think I'm the sporty type. I'd also do anything for the people in my life like my little brother." They continued to talk about random topics for a bit, before going home at around 4 in the afternoon. "See you around, Y/N." "See you too, Medal!"
Y/N was happy to know that they'd made a new friend at school on the first day. "Wait a minute, doesn't this seem a bit too much like a cliche dating simulator?" they thought. Y/N tried looking around themself, and saw a "fourth wall" to break. They jumped out, and returned to reality. "Y/N, time for dinner!" "Okay, Mom!"
