Third time
"I swear, if you don't get out of there-" you sighed in defeat as you dropped the brush tangled in your hair.
"Need help?"
You weren't even shocked when Ajak suddenly spoke. In the past hundreds of years together, you had become used to the other woman's quiet way of approaching you.
"Not even a little jump?" she joked
"Nope"
"Too bad, I loved seeing you nervous. You were adorable."
"I was?" you smiled
"You are" she corrects herself
You rolled your eyes fondly as she approached you and carefully began to unravel the brush from your hair. Ajak's hands were steady but skilled. She knew what she was doing and she was so caring and sweet to you. It was easy to get lost in the feel of her fingers in your hair.
"Don't fall asleep my dear"
"I'm sorry" you blushed.
After removing the brush, Ajak started to help you fix the mess you had caused. This was different. You rarely had free time, and these kinds of peaceful moments were something you treasured. It felt incredibly intimate even if she was just brushing your hair.
"What are you thinking about, my love?"
"You" you answered
"Isn't that what you always think about?"
"Someone has a high ego today"
Ajak laughed and kissed your shoulder. Your eyes met hers in her mirror and you could see all the love she had for you reflected in her brown pools.
"Ajak?"
"Yes?"
"...Would you watch the stars with me?"
"I would love to" she smiled.

You two were walking hand in hand when Ikaris approached. The man looked at you apologetically before looking at the prime eternal.
"Sorry to interrupt but...I think there is something you should see" he says.
Ajak shoots you an apologetic look but you smile and nod. She squeezes your hand in gratitude before following Ikaris. You really can't be upset with him, this must be important; You can't be mad at Ajak either, you understand that she has a job to do.
Besides, the stars will always be there.
