Main plot
Revolves around Stiles becoming a were-fox, an original character called Kyle. It also focuses on Scott and Stiles friendship is an important focus (or more like the struggle between them)

My own thoughts (Spoilers)
Only story I have ever written that was specifically for a scene between Scott and Stiles. All events were there to lead up to the specific scene between Scott and Stiles. I wrote this story for that scene and the scene is basically how I wish Scott and Stiles friendship fixing their friendship had gone.

Scott is framed in a bad light but does get better near the end of the story.

I in fact had planned for Kyle to be a villain but when he was introduced was around the time I decided to come up with a proper plot for the story, up until that point a plan of the plot had not been done.

I soon realised I did not know what to do with Kyle as a villain, so I went online to look for supernatural creatures to take his place as the antagonist. I searched deliberately for owl like monsters because a nightmare I had when I was a lot younger I vividly remember involved an owl.

Loved writing this story. Ever since I had watched Scott and Stiles break up scene I had always wanted to write a scene where Scott says sorry to Stiles as I do think Scott sometimes hasn't treated Stiles very well.

When Stiles yelled at Scott he was yelling some of my frustrations with Scott's treatment of Stiles.

I do think his definitely jealous of Scott but not just his supernatural power but also his morals and I do think Stiles refused the bite because he was scared he wouldn't be a good person with power, now that he finally has it, it was fun to explore that side of him.

Stiles has these self esteem issues and guilt that really builds up inside him throughout the story, this "I'm bad, you're good" mind set, that he thinks he deserves Scott's treatment in the past.

This story is about Scott finally recognising what's going on with Stiles and Stiles letting go of his self esteem and guilt (though the guilt will come back in the sequel for different reasons)

While I don't see him as a evil character, I see him as good person but with a lot of darkness inside which I enjoyed portraying.

I would say this is also a clash of Stiles and Scott's ideologies, with Stiles darker view on the world vs Scott's, in that in mind I'd say that this story in that sense is similar to my Mitch Rap/Stiles story.

However for Scott and Stiles friendship the Fox at Heart has a much better outcome.

This story is also the start of a power fantasy genre which I like writing a lot. Stiles will get stronger throughout the story and end up a little but not much stronger than Scott under certain situations but that power will grow by a large amount during the sequel.
