Richard, Alex and Isabella started roaming around Hogsmeade. This place definitely looked safe and there was no sign of attack whatsoever. They entered the 'Three Broomsticks' - It was empty.
"Why is it empty?" inquired Alex to no one in particular.
"My guess is they are at Hogwarts after all almost the entire British wizarding world seems to be there" answered Richard with a scowl on his face. He did not like the idea of people looking at his sister like best friend as if she is a new toy or invention which needs checking.
"If they are to change the future, the first thing I ask is unnecessary people to be sent back. No way am I gonna talk with a bunch of strangers and tell them my personal life" said Isa with distaste and horror written on her face.
"Good decision" muttered the boys.
The three slowly made their way back to the castle each lost in their thoughts and hoping against hope that the future should be in their favour. They reached the castle and decided to look around before stepping inside the interview room aka The Great Hall.
The castle was like a maze. They kept losing their way and to make matters worse the staircase kept changing. They went to classrooms and staffrooms to see it empty and not to mention the bathrooms, Owlery and the Greenhouse. Much to Richard and Alex's good luck they did not find the library otherwise Isabella would have camped there. Rose or as she was called in America Isabella is a huge bookworm. So they were happy at skipping the library though Rose was not at all pleased. At last they came to the Astronomy Tower. It was the highest tower and they could see the Quidditch Pitch and the Whoomping Willow.
"It will be our strategic location guys." Her companions share an assessing look at the Tower and gave their agreement and once again roamed their eyes over the Tower and the view it provides.
"Well we all can camp here tonight...Just like the old times..." said an excited Richard.
"Yeah....we can...good old times..." said Isa her eyes having a forlorn look looking at the setting sun and the scenery.
"Now how will we find our way back to The Great Hall??" askes Alex eager and desperate to take Isabella's mind from wandering down the memory lane.
"Of course the usual" said Rose her eyes focusing to the present situation at hand and turning her face away from the setting sun and the scenery.
Hearing Isa's words Richard's eyes twinkled with mischief. The three of them took out their wands and summoned a parchment and started muttering spells after spells and imagined the entire Hogwarts to be captured in a piece of parchment along with its occupants, so that it will be easier for them to locate their enemy and to move around the castle easily. They unknowingly made their own version of Marauder's Map with some advancements like they could see people not just inside the grounds but also in all the secret passage and Hogsmeade and even inside the Room of Requirement!!! All three of then slowly stopped muttering spells and the parchment floating in front of them glowed with ink magically flowing and making the pattern and shape of the entire Hogsmeade and Hogwarts along with its occupants. When the ink ceased to flow the plain parchment has become a map featuring the entire village and castle included which Rose took in her hands and placed protective enchantments lest it falls into wrong hands.
She looked at the faces of her partners in crime mirroring the had a victory smile etched albeit with some smugness their face shone with. Slowly the three of them made their way towards the Great Hall.
