"Why am I even thinking about it?" She shook her head in disagreement, "No, I shouldn't think anything of it. It was nothing, he was nothing...!" She assured herself, "He wouldn't come again. He shouldn't."
Coffee was longer abandoned to be touched. But she got so confused in her thoughts that the coffee got buried in some corner of her subconscious.
"No," She was seconds from crying again, "My God, what will I do now? I don't know what is in this diary. What urge did impulse him to take it out and put it here on the table?" She was wondering why he even opened his personal thing in a stranger's house...
"Though he was posing like he was the smartest person alive on earth, yet it was a small diary that was not taken care of by him." Thinking this she tossed the diary onto the table annoyingly clicking her tongue. 'What a waste he is...!'
"Ah, now he will surely come to take it. What trouble am I stuck in?" She clutched her poor hair, which was already loosening around her flower shaped clutcher, in utter disbelief she started assuming things, "Isn't it possible that he deliberately left the diary here so that he could return under the pretext of getting it back? No..." She shrugged her thought immediately.
"This should never happen now, what if anyone caught sight of him. And I don't even know if anyone saw him in the very first place, last night, when he was claiming my house a nice place to sleep." She didn't even know clearly what she was actually afraid of?
"Argh... Don't think about it too much Aabi, it was nothing, just a bad dream." She reminded herself once again through a deep breath, "It was nothing more than a horrific memory."
She rubbed her whole face with one hand while the other was resting across her thigh as she glanced at the proud logo of 'J.K Enterprises & Co.'
"I must open and see what he has written in his diary." Suddenly a wave of curiosity rushed inside her circulatory system but immediately got hushed from the wave of etiquettes that sprung its head in her nervous system, "No, this is wrong. Tampering with someone's personals is not counted in good manners." Her brain warned her, but she waved it off.
"So, what good manners did he display previously by entering my house almost in the middle of the night without even seeking a permission? And moreover, scared the shit out of me. His friends also dared threatened to kill me."
She gave her brain a reason to shut up, "So I think getting some information from a small piece of paper is not going to bring any elephant on the road."
As she opened the diary, she glanced at the first page which had the same logo glowing on the thick outer cover of the diary. She flipped to the other page, it was a user information page that was almost blank, except the company print, there was no information about the user on it. He didn't even bother to write his precious name on it.
A few more pages were flipped, and above them, information about the company and introduction and details of some products were listed. As is usually the case with all diaries published by any of the brands or companies. As soon as she turned to the eleventh page, her eyes became familiar with the written words and almost popped out of her sockets.
As she looked at the page again not believing her eyes, her breath got stuck in her chest.
Her name was shining there in bright blue ink. 'Dear Aabi,' was written in a friendly manner... And a lot more was written ahead.
She began to read each word carefully.
'I don't know who you are, but you seemed nice and a little bit wiser to me. Don't need to think too much about my injury, I'm used to such injuries. My partners may have taken me somewhere else last night. I would have left, but fate had to introduce you to me. So, I found the door of your house open, but it's way more suitable if we say fate itself let it open for me.' Her eyes, dancing with the words, while her hands, placed on the either sides of the opened note book.
