Rox POV

I walked in front of my employees. "Look ever since that TV bullshit from the news reporter, business hasn't...been the best. Who has an idea on how to improve our business image?" I asked. I looked at everyone. Parker was on her phone per usual. Brick was flirting with Julian, and River was looking like they wanted to murder someone, also per usual.

Julian raised his hand. I pointed at him. "What about a billboard?" I just looked at him. "We live in a literal war zone. Nobody will look at a fucking billboard." Parker stated. Julian glared at her.

"Ooh, ooh. What about a TV ad. Everyone watches TV nowadays," Brick said, "Besides, what else would they do? Go outside?"

"That could work." I thought about it and the longer I did, the better it sounded.

I smirked at them before listing off different themes we could do to broadcast our business. River wanted to do the bloodiest things possible, like always, so they suggested a massacre. Julian and Brick were trying to downplay that aspect because people just had to look outside to see that.

River grumbled about never getting to have any fun. They were the youngest in our group, Parker being excluded since she was still in training. River was 23 years old. They were kicked out of their house when they were 15 by their parents for being a freak. Not only are their eyes heterocromic, but they are also nonbinary. Their parents already didn't like that they were different, but the final straw was when they came out.

Parker and River got along the most out of my employees. They both had a similar bloodlust and River took it upon themself to train Parker. Julian and Brick have been in their honeymoon stage for the past five years and it wasn't dying down anytime soon.  Their lovey-doveyness sickened River, so they normally stayed on opposite sides of the room as much as possible.

After the meeting I called a few different commercial companies to help with our ad. Most told me that they would get back to me, which translated to 'we are never talking to you assholes ever again.' A few told us that we could meet on Tuesday or Thursday. I set a date and we were going to meet to make our commercial.

Axle POV

"Hello, scum of the earth. My name is Rox. In this world you can get fucked over by basically anyone. Well if you need someone to do the dirty work of killing the bastards who screwed you over, you are in luck. I'm the founder of L.A.O. An organization that specializes in taking out anyone you want revenge on." The commercial proceeded to talk about how they would kill anyone in anyway the client wanted as long as it didn't involve his employees or himself dying.

Different demonstrations on people they've been hired to kill and how to contact them flashed across the screen. As I watched them, my dreams from the nights before flashed through my mind. It had been three weeks since I had seen Rox's face, but I couldn't forget him. 'Not gay! Not gay! Not gay!' I mentally berated myself.

I turned the TV off and went into the kitchen. Unfortunately, Caroline was in there. As normal, she was talking shit about me to my daughter, to which my Birdie just flat out ignored. Whenever Caroline noticed me she sneered in my direction. "By the way our anniversary is coming up. I decided to be nice this year. We need to have another baby. My parents said they wanted another grandchild, so I agreed to get pregnant." She  then walked out of the kitchen complaining about the nine months she'll have to endure while carrying my baby.

I couldn't believe her. She wanted me to get her pregnant? After everything she does to me? Is she insane? Yes, yes she is.

I started thinking of the commercial I had been watching with the very handsome man who was on the screen.  'Even if I'm not gay I can admit he's attractive. Plus, they were assasins. Maybe I could get them to kill my wife. So that I wouldn't have to go anywhere near her or her disgusting parts.'

I set my jaw and told Birdie that I would be leaving for a couple hours. I got my keys and hesitated on the doorknob. 'What if this doesn't work? Am I just over reacting?' I glanced at a picture of Birdie and Caroline. Birdie looked absolutely terrified next to her.

I had to try. No, I would get them to kill my wife.
