BOLD speech is English
Two hours was all they'd been given to decide who to vote for, and such a short period of time to make an almost life changing decision was certainly not long enough. The girls walked around in their respective units, wandering aimlessly through the building as the biys went to explore together.
"Wait," Jaehee spoke suddenly, stopping in her tracks. "Wasn't there a work out room?" "Really?" Roxi sighed out. "Yeah! Maybe we can impress the guys with how strong we are- you know, maybe they'll want to keep us in if they realize w-" "Unnie, thats stupid," laughed Sunghee, dragging her friends back to where they had come from so she could look at the map of the place. "Look, lets go there." Unsure of where she wanted to go, Roxi and Jaehee just followed behind the youngest. "Tada!" Both girls shook their heads. Sunghee had taken them to the work out room like Jaehee had suggested. After stretching, the girls spread across the room: Roxi went to the treadmill, Jaehee went for the stationary bike, and Sunghee chose the bench press. When she saw the youngest's choice, the Korean-American laughed, "you can't do that. You're built like a twig." "Watch me."
Sunghee lay on the bench, adjusting her hands on the barbell to get the best grip possible before pulling it off the stand and lifting it up. "That's 50kg.. how are you.." Both Jaehee and Roxi watched on with open mouths as the 17 year old pressed 5 reps of more than her own weight with ease. She put the barbell back and slid out from underneath it, "see?"Having had their half hour of fun, the HELLEVATOR unit decided it was time to go and find everyone else. They wondered around the place for a few minutes before finding the rest of the I-LANDERS gathered in the living area. "The ace team has arrived!" announced Heeseung when he saw the girls enter, everyone turning to see. "Unnie, where have you been?" Alice asked Jaehee. "Oh, you should have seen it!" Sunghee and Roxi shook their heads, sitting next to Sunghoon and Jinni. "The figure skater just bench pressed 50kg. 50!" A young boy they knew as Taki gasped, "that's like a whole K hyung!" "It wasn't as good as she thinks, she likes to exaggerate," Sunghee explained, giving the girl a pointed look.
"Anyway, what's up?" asked Roxi, looking around at the group. "Voting. We can't figure out who to vote for," Jungwon informed. "Ah, I see. Well I'm voting to eliminate the girls, Heeseung and Sunghoon. They're tough competition," Jaehee joked. "Honestly, I feel like it shouldn't matter too much now, because if they're really passionate and skilled enough to be in I-LAND, then they should be able to come back here from the GROUND," said Cherry, causing some to groan.
"I don't think we have much to go off of right now, other than our performances from earlier, and maybe a few friendships from prior to coming here. Eventhough our performances were shaky because of how nervous we all were, I genuinely believe that there are people here who shouldn't be here, purely because of peer pressure. We were all looking around during the first voting, so we didn't base it on what we thought, but rather what others thought. This time, we should think about it ourselves and not discuss who we vote for, otherwise we won't vote for people because we want to, but because others want us to. If you don't like someone, for whatever reason, don't make others vote them off too. This is our turn to vote for who we want to debut with." Hums of approval and confusion sounded through the room, everyone considering Sunghee's words.. . .
The group had since dispersed, all finding their own thing to do with most heading to get food. Sunghee ended up in the blue room with Jake, Sunoo and Youngbin, the four of them discussing the voting.
"I can tell you one person I want to vote for," Sunghee whispered to Jake, who raised a brow in confusion. "I thought you said we shouldn't discuss the trainees incase we influence others' choices?" the boy questioned, laying back so his head was in her lap, allowing her easy access to play with his hair. "I know, but I just have this funny feeling.." "Who is it?" "Choi Seon Oppa." "What?" She frowned a little at his reaction, "just hear me out. He's going around trying to get on everyone's good side, and his performance wasn't even that good. It took us ages to decide that he should join the I-LAND, and I think he only got in because you guys caved in to the peer pressure. His performance was underwhelming - the dance wasn't clean at all, and his vocals were unstable. And! And I didn't like how he literally voted for almost nobody after he performed. Everybody else who got in continued to vote for the trainees they thought had potential, but Seon Oppa just sat there and only voted for like three people. I don't think its fair. If he had gone later, he wouldn't have made it. I feel like he sort of thought that he was, in some way, entitled, and because of that, I don't want him to stay here. No offense, but if him and I both made it to the debuting team, I'd leave the group and company, and go back to ice skating." Jake nodded along as the girl finished talking. He definitely agreed with what she was saying about the older's performance. "I do one hundred percent understand what you're saying, bun, but I don't think many of the others will agree. I think it would be more a case of 'he went first so his performance was bad because he was really nervous'." "Hmm, I guess so."
