the art of being a teenager: a mesmerizing dance between a raging hurricane and a spiraling tornado. the creation of the perfect poison—a gamble with the stakes of life and death.

there's the components of electricity and excitement but it also manifests as maddening and soul-crushing. its like your heart was ripped from your body before being rearranged then placed back. but it no longer fits because its like shoving a puzzle piece into the wrong spot.

so what do you do? you just keep moving forward because they say, life gets better.
until it doesn't.

nicole scott, a young teenage girl who couldn't exactly see the light at the end of the tunnel. because whether she was sixteen or twenty-five there was one thing remains, crippling anxiety. a disease that floods her mind constantly, an uninvited guest to a never ending pity-party.

but why? she has a decent life, she has friends she'd give a kidney to, a roof over her head, brothers she loves. it was the set up of an almost happy life but deep down she was anything but happy. the problems below the surface gnawed away at her brain day in and day out. putting pressure on her fragile mind, creating cracks in the glass that was seconds away from shattering.

what was life if it wasn't perfect. if each puzzle piece didn't fit correctly. nicole is just trying to survive but it's just a matter of time until it catches up to her.

because being a teenager is like swimming in the ocean and you don't know how to swim.
